Buzz Lightyear at Magic Kingdom.
Buzz at DL is a mess, too. Half of the blasters don’t work, and it doesn’t really fit in with the whole Tomorrowland theme (not that there really is a theme anymore - half of the stuff is Yesterday, not Tomorrow. And don’t get me started on all the Star Wars... the whole premise is “a long time ago...”)

Too bad, I remember being impressed by this ride as a kid. But Midway Mania just blows it out of the water. Even my Mom who's not big into shooter rides liked Mania better.

I am actually very very curious to ride mission space when I go sometime eventually, I want to experience it. Any advice? I learned from the tomorrowland movie (one of the few parts I remember) I should drink coke after and I believe it haha.
I do have some advice for you... do less intense training 😂

Me and my family rode it for the first time back in 2015 and we picked less intense, and we were all "man that ride is taaame", so we got back in line for the more-intense training. We went home early that day, I won't give too many details 😂

I do get the Tomorrowland reference, but no, I would NOT recommend drinking coke after LOL.

The more intense training can give me a headache, I do wish the green team training had a bit more thrill though

Dreamflight with UFOs could be a cool idea, that way it's still futuristic while still bringing the charm of the original ride. Plus the advantage of the longer setpieces of Buzz and you can have a really cool time travel-UFO dark ride.
If Bob Chapek really wants to go the Pixar route, it can easily be themed to that one short, called Lifted, from a while back. It’s an underrated Pixar short in my opinion.

Question of the Day
What attraction at any park (Disney or otherwise) just needs to go? Not refurbed, not rethemed, just gone.
I agree with everyone's sentiments on the Buzz Lightyear attractions. It's already out of place in any of the Tomorrowlands and more so in the retrofuturistic Discoveryland in Paris. If I have my way, I'll move that ride to the Studios in Toy Story Playland (in lieu of Toy Story Mania) and bring back an updated Timekeeper or even Horizons (as originally intended for Discovery Mountain).

I'd also gut out Videopolis for a new attraction and dining options. I'd have Soaring: Fantastic Flight in that building in a heartbeat (with the Hyperion airship parked in the facade and Falco's European/Italian heritage), but Europa-Park already has a similar ride (ride system and story premise) called Voletarium.

Am I right or wrong in thinking now that Space Mountain is currently Hyperspace Mountain that the only rides in Discoveryland going for a (pre-1950's) retro futuristic theme (past the exteriors) are Autopia and Astro Orbitor?
I'm no DLP expert, I've only been there once, but does Les Mystères du Nautilus count?

Edit: sorry you said 'rides', nevermind haha.

I believe so. It's a shame really since Discoveryland now suffers the same identity crisis as with the other Tomorrowlands, which Tony Baxter and Tim Delaney tried to prevent from happening in the first place.

Orange while the story and mission is more exciting makes me hurt.

Green lacks the hurt but it’s honestly most boring ride at Disney World

Makes me wonder if the planned Sci-fi city (another unplanned disney park land I have fondness for that I forgot about several questions ago ) would have suffered the same fate if it made it to fruition.

So, I have some inspiration to do some Imagineering, but the thing is, it's not for something Disney or theme park related. Specifically, a stage adaptation of a music album (Märchen by Sound Horizon). Would anyone take offence if I post my ideas for it in this thread? I don't think it warrants it's own thread (especially since it feels kind of off-topic with the rest of the forum) and while I did consider making a general Imagineering thread like @DashHaber did, I feel like I wouldn't use it enough to justify it's existence. Hope this isn't a bother to y'all.

Here's a video from the album's concert, if you're interested (complete with English subtitles):

Considering that Sci-Fi City is planned for Tokyo Disneyland, I wouldn’t be too worried about the land retaining its thematic integrity since you know, it's Tokyo. TDR has very strict show standards after all, which I guess extends to show integrity as well.
