As my final act as a L.A.N.D. agent before returning to a host/judge/S.E.A. Agent, I shall write an evil review of Team S.E.A.'s project!

The teams successfully evaded L.A.N.D. and lost them in Europe!

But...

They then made the mistake of celebrating with a big fireworks show which gave away their location.

So, L.A.N.D. will be back on our tail soon!

Team Tomorrow and Team Yesterday need to chart a course to escape! They plan to set sail on their next mission shortly

Until then, sit back and enjoy some fireworks while you wait for the reviews! (And maybe even write your own reviews!)

A long time ago, on a forum far far away....

A story of Good vs Evil - the Disney Heroes vs the Galactic Disney Empire - how will it all shape up? Let's find out.

ska55vR.png

This style-round is always met with challenging circumstances and I have to say this united group managed to navigate their way through it the best they possibly could. A lot of that credit should go to @NateD1226 - you were given the immense task of having to lead the entire cast of Act 2 by yourself in unfamiliar territory. To be given that tasks, the hosts must have thought you were up for it (or they were evil villains and thought they could outmatch you) but in either circumstance your talent as an imagineer and leader shined through.

Also nice to see the return of some nostalgic team-ups of D Hindey and Disney Dad for the first time since Team Brava in Season 4. And they did not disappoint, and they were also very instrumental, especially Disney Dad on the final day in helping assemble the project.
All in all though - everyone deserves credit for traversing through this challenge unscathed.

I'll also admit I know very little about any of these parks other than what has been written in the threads - so take these reviews from an outsider looking in at taking a trip to Europe I suppose.

The trip report reminds me of...Hi, I'm Rick Steves, come with me as I travel the European Parks
1582779257177.jpeg

- The trip report was a great concept. It fits this project perfectly and makes it feel like an authentic backpack through European parks.
- I love the little details like the first person experiences all throughout.

Alton Towers
- Right off the bat I enjoy the Victorian entrance and literature section - brilliant opening.
- A boat ride through Narnia is a great concept
- The detail in this section is top notch - holy cow - really like the James and the Giant Peach addition as well with a snapshot of the movie too! A childhood memory not soon forgotten.
- Great work @Brer Oswald on the Sonic section - and your playlist is amazing. I never really knew much about Sonic but you got be interested, awesome.

Efteling
- An aside - I feel so sophisticated listening to this background music
- Most of the early enhancements here especially to the Sleeping Beauty section feel like a mini-Fantasyland of sorts - in a good way!
- Nice work incorporating some older yet still well known tales like the Little Red Riding Hood.
- The Baba Yaga coaster I at first read as Baby Yoda, then as Babu Frik, then eventually to its correct name 😆

Phantasialand
- Elegantly written and gives such an aura of charm to the park.
- Munchausen (same as Munchausen Syndrome?) Palast was wonderful! The attractions in it, especially the wooden coaster Schwarzwald - sound very fun and add their own special themes without restraining from the park's Germanic roots.
- I'm glad I could make the reservations at Das Observatorium because that is definitely somewhere I'd like to dine.
- Love the menu design - I will have the Kielbasa Sandwich while enjoying the scenery.
- I really appreciate how you were able here to continue to tell a story. These reviews are supposed to be ways to improve but I feel bad continuing to say good job and stuff like that. It's been a pleasure to read. Usually I'm the first to complain about long narratives and getting to the point, but I'm more intrigued by a fiction 'trip report' at times and forget this is a project!

Port Adventura
- First off I really appreciate the custom art from this team @gam3rprincess with the classic hand-drawn sketches and @Disneypugs. with some logo designs and maps - awesome work!
- This was one of the more light additions but heavy on the story aspect - I just find it so enthralling that you all have come together in this inventive way.
- Star Chasers though was a hit for me - and kudos to @AceAstro - I know he's had some midterms and stuff recently way to stick around through this - very impressive!

-- Overall, for the creativity and teamwork, let alone the enhancements to these nuanced parks - L.A.N.D. has quite a tsunami in the S.E.A. to navigate.

- For a team of vocal villains I was expecting the Citizen Kane of imagineering projects. Instead what we have was good - but it's a lot like the drop off from what you thought your 20s would be like vs what they actually are. 🥴
l-13955-expectation-vs-reality.jpg

- I see Scrooge McDuck had a carryover role from MoneyBin Breakout since much of this project focused on the penny-pushing finances. 🤑 What S.E.A. did that I enjoyed was they took a penny-pushing project and told a story out of it - they got creative! I think early on there was a quote from an old project we had done on realistic imagineering and budgeting - but while some of those were researched, a lot of finances from our standpoint are more arbitrary for that project since times change, costs are fluid, and so on. That being said - taking the time to plan all that out should be commended for the math and staying true to the premise.

- Trying to conquer the world villains? Teaming up with Google Earth? Earth? How dare you! It was a cool implementation, props for that. That being said it's a chore to scroll through for 4 parks. There was a project in 2016 that did something similar to this - the problem is you sacrifice the essence of the project (the content) for pizzazz.

This rings true for most of the project - it all sounds cool but it feels more like a Dr. Evil executive pitch list to take over these parks rather than a team united project. To go easy on the villains I'll pick out one thing from each park that I think would be neat to see. It's hard to say these additions/refurbs are bad, but nothing that is overly impressive.

Gardaland
- Gardaland Express sounds interesting - always a fan of trains.

Tivoli Gardens
- The Aquarium I think was a nice touch here.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
- The Haunted Harbor I think was one of the most fleshed out places in the entire presentation along with the Bikini Bottom which would be neat to see.

Europa Park
- Dino-Europa River Cruise - Dinosaurs and boat rides - can never go wrong there.
----------------------

And with that - we reach the end of this Saga - congrats to all in this epic battle of good vs evil, but only one side can come out on top. Who will it be? Find out - soon!

European Parks Expansion

This is not a guest review per say but I do want to get this off my chest. Going into the Efteling section, I felt that there were some things that were missing; that being the Monsieur Cannibale retheme and Pardoes flat ride expansion, as well as the locations for Baba Yaga and Reynard and the general refurbs for the park that were talked about. In other words,

And what does "oand care" mean? Was that a typo?

Thanks to everyone who participated in this unique challenge. I'll keep this brief

Team Land
1. They are villains.

Team S.E.A.
The leadership of Nate, the persistence of others in artwork like Disneypugs, the teamwork of everyone especially the tag-team of D Hindley and Disney Dad - all culminated in a triumphant project to be proud of.

The teams now wait to give their next mission which should begin shortly!

Lastly, the Fortress of Fate has summoned...

Nobody!

Congratulations - it's been a pleasure watching everyone grow over these last 5 Stanzas. Here's to more success - onto Act 2!

As we conclude The Atlantic Voyage, the Judges would like to call to attention some highlights from the season so far.

The Top Players are effectively the MVP of a round, so we'll be nominating five Top Players. If you don't make the chart, don't let it bring you down. I won the game without receiving any first-place wins at Endgame's awards.

No, this is more about celebrating each other for individual moments. So without further ado...

STANZA ONE - FROM PARIS WITH LOVE

1. @D Hindley , with perhaps the best Project Manager performance all season (so far).
2. @NateD1226 , who stepped up to manage his team after his PM had to leave the game.
3. @orlando678- , for some fantastic writing that sold his team's ideas to victory.

STANZA TWO - OCEAN'S 7

1. @Disneypugs. for her first season, by stanza two was already one of Tomorrow's most valuable assets.
2. @gam3rprincess , establishing a great atmosphere for Team Tomorrow... seriously Yesterday doesn't know what they've been missing on the Party Lounge thread...
3. @Tux , for the ultimate GRIND of stores, restaurants, and activities you created.

STANZA THREE - THE MORROCAN CANDIDATE

1. @Disneypugs. for filling in for her project manager, who was unavailable at the time.
2. @D Hindley , for creating the ride concept and producing some amazing art.
3. @TheOriginalTiki , for a united vision early on AND last-minute imaginative podcast that is a highlight of the season.

STANZA FOUR - THE BRAZIL INDENTITY

1. @Brer Panther , for creating some Disney Animation quality artwork.
2. @NateD1226 , for their original "trivia" presentation model that brought much interest to the project.
3. @TheOriginalTiki , who's passion from the beginning coupled brilliantly with the calculated Disney Dad to create a great "Brazillian Fantasyland".

STANZA FIVE - ROGUE NATIONS

1. @Brer Oswald , for the creative implementation of Sonic.
2. @Disney Dad 3000 and @D Hindley , creating a super cool Steampunk Phantasialand expansion with (seemingly) little effort.
3. @NateD1226 , for commanding 13 others and getting them all to follow a complicated (but awesome) presentation.

The Teams may have thwarted L.A.N.D. in Europe, but with Eisner and his crew of the petty, forgotten, and vengeful having full control of S.E.A. they won't be safe for long. It is time to leave the Atlantic Ocean and flee to the Pacific!

Of course, the heroes aren't just running away. The imagineers are all that is left of S.E.A. and they have one last mission to accomplish.

Follow the map and find the missing artifacts. Each will have a great power that can effect the entire SAU! The fate of the universe depends on you recovering the objects Maleficent stole before L.A.N.D. can get their hand on them!

This is a race against time! Expect the Stanzas to be faster, crazier, and even more fun! In Act 1, most challenges lasted over a week. In Act 2, some will only last about 48 hours. So, get ready!

There will be no eliminations during Act 2! At the end of The Pacific Voyage, all players will be sent to the Fortress of Fate and judged on their performance for the Act as a whole. So, it is perfectly fine if you aren't active in every Stanza.

L.A.N.D. Looms.
Only you can stop them!

Chapter 6: Can you be a Little More Pacific?

U6MNG6h.png

"I'll go with Team Yesterday along the Southern Route!" Abraham Lincoln says as he leads the team towards the Disney Adventure.

"I'll go with Team Tomorrow along the Northern Route!" John Progress says as he leads the team towards the Disney Adventure.

"I'll stay here and get kidnapped!" Hatbox Ghost says as he gets grabbed by Lord Darkenon from Poseidon's Fury!

4DBqM3G.png

"Oh no! First they blocked the Panama Canal using a stack of old, discarded Disney Dollars causing us to have to take alternate routes to the Pacific, and now they kidnap Hatbox! It feels like every C-Tier Theme Park IP is after us!" @TheOriginalTiki says.

"Not just us, they're really after the artifacts! Luckily, there are two on the way to the Pacific Ocean assuming I'm reading this map correctly." @D Hindley states. Naturally, he redrew the map in perfect detail so we couldn't lose it if L.A.N.D. hacks us. "Tomorrow can grab The Snow Queen's Glove from the Arcitc Circle. And Yesterday can grab the Heart of Te Fiti from Polynesia!"

Adventures by Disney provides group guided family vacations to various domestic and international destinations. There are currently 37 planned trips. This round, you will design an advertising campaign for one more.

But WAIT! This Stanza is unique. Each Team has a different prompt!

Team Yesterday: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create an advertising campaign for a new Adventures by Disney, set in a Polynesian Country: in only 20 sentences.

Team Tomorrow: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create an advertising campaign for a new Adventures by Disney, set in an Arctic Circle Country: in only 20 sentences.

- A Polynesian Country is any nation set within that designated region (not Australia and New Zealand)
- An Arctic Circle Country is any nation that borders the Arctic Ocean (ex: Russia, Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Finland).
- This Stanza is the shortest in the game, at just 48 hours. For the Pacific Voyage, inactivity for one stanza is ok. Just remember to be active next time, or you will face elimination come the Fantasy Voyage!
