I'm loving the talent show facade here. I'm wondering if the little minions on the car are animatronic.

So I broke my arm in a car accident yesterday, so I’m taking PTO from work to heal up a bit (can’t battle ostriches with a broken arm).

Anyway, I binged His Dark Materials on HBO all day today and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it? If not, I definitely recommend giving it a watch

I've definitely wanted to check it out. I was very into the books around the time the Golden Compass movie came out. How's Lin Manuel Miranda? I must say he's a far different Lee Scorsby than Sam Elliot haha. Also really sorry to hear about your arm and the accident. :( Hope everything's okay on your end and nobody was hurt.

He’s definitely a different take on the character, but I do think he did a pretty good job. He doesn’t feel like Sam Elliot’s Scoresby but he does feel like a younger take on him.

Luckily it was a one-sided accident (unless you count the ice that caused me to swerve off the road) and the car managed to make it out no real damage.

That's good about the car. And obviously when I say "no one was hurt" I don't count your broken arm in that equation haha.

WandaVision is definitely the show I'm most looking forward to based on the style and direction they're going for, which is cool considering before Endgame those two characters were definitely lower tier for me in the MCU. Wanda's stock rose significantly with the "you will..." moment and it'll be great to see the EVERYTHING fairytale life with Vision that Thanos took from her. Falcon/Winter Soldier does indeed look movie quality and it very much gives me hope for the gamble of these shows being an important part of cannon paying off. I'll admit, Loki is the safest bet out of the bunch and for that reason it's probably the one I'm least looking forward to. It could be mindblowing, but based on that little snippet it feels like it will have the most outward fan-service (not a bad thing of course, it's just the other two so far look more ambitious in their artistic and narrative goals)

On an unrelated note...those last four minutes of the game. Man, talk about a seeing your childhood dreams slip through your fingers moment on my end. I'm not a sports guy at all, but my grandpa was a HUGE Niners fan before he died so every time they get into the Superbowl it becomes a really personal thing for my mom and I. I also question that penultimate touchdown on the Chiefs end which was just BARELY in-bounds (and of course my mom and I instantly went into freak-out mode when the ref made the call that the play counted, haha :p ) I honestly could sit with the loss a lot more if it weren't for how photo-finish that touchdown actually was and how it slowed down our momentum to an absolute halt. Other than that though, it was a great game of Sportsball and very back and forth. A wonderful offensive vs. defensive power struggle. I swear I don't usually get this deep into sports, haha :p ;)
