The Sorcerer's Apprentice Season 6: ODYSSEY- Hype Thread

I am super excited for the Studio Ghibli theme park, but I am concerned that the company will underestimate the amount of people who will come to visit yearly. It is bound to be more than 1.8 million people, unless it is open only during a certain period. I also worry that guests will expect the park to be like Disneyland in terms of scope. This Ghibli park appears to be more along the lines of a fanciful park with emphasis on nature and woodlands. The last thing I'd hate to see are tourists making a mess, Japan or not.

Today, it was announced that, just in time for the grand opening of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away show will play its final performance.

'Bout time.

A cut that actually improves the park

I so hope this is good. Between it and HTTYD, they have me hooked
I was a bit saddened to hear that Super Nintendo World wouldn't come to Universal Studios Florida, mainly because KidZone is past its prime and desperately needs to go, but these announcements for Epic Universe are definitely making up for it! Besides, the rumors regarding Zelda replacing Lost Continent and Pokemon replacing KidZone have once again been brought up (recent articles still mention these rumors, so it's not quite dead yet), so here's hoping!

Calling back to the leaked layout of SNW for KZ, moving to EU and starting over mostly from scratch might have been a good save not just because tearing down KZ would be a big project but the adage 'less is more' does hold water for the old layout.

I've heard Pokemon rumored to be implemented just outside of SNW.

Oscar recap time!

-- Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor for Joker (which also won Best Original Score)
-- Renee Zellweger won Best Actress for Judy
-- Brad Pitt won Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (which also won Best Production Design)
-- Laura Dern won Best Supporting Actress for Marriage Story
-- Taika Waititi won Best Adapted Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit
-- 1917 won Best Cinematography (well deserved, considering that it was meant to feel as if it was all one take), Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects (take that, The Lion King!)
-- Ford v. Ferrari won Best Visual Editing and Best Sound Editing
-- Toy Story 4 won Best Animated Feature (Klaus was robbed)
-- Hair Love won Best Animated Short
-- The Neighbors' Window won Best Live Action Short
-- American Factory won Best Documentary
-- Learning to Skateboard in a War Zone (If You're a Girl) won Best Documentary Short
-- Elton John won Best Original Song for "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" from Rocketman
-- Jacqueline Durran won Best Costume Design for Little Women
-- Kazu Hiro, Anne Morgan and Vivian Baker won Best Makeup for Bombshell

But perhaps the biggest news of all came down to this year's biggest winner. Parasite, a South Korean "family tragicomedy", as director Bong Joon-ho described it, became the first non-English language film to win Best Picture! It also picked up Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film. Perhaps one of the most powerful moments is when the lighting technicians turned down the lights after the first speech; only for the audience to outright demand them to bring them back up to allow the others to speak! Very well-deserved!

Many people have said that tonight's ceremony was essentially a huge apology for what happened last time (IYCMI, Green Book took home Best Picture last year. Almost no one was happy about that.), and if that's so, well...apology accepted.
