The Rainless, Sweat Filled and Toupee-ful June Trip of MillerPoppins

Ok kids...I debated writing this trip report only because it is so short and kinda had a personal issue thrown in the middle of a day. But I can't let my crew here down! Because I've got more crazy stories, more food photos and lots of stupid humor to provide you with! And for those of you who do follow along with my antics, you are brave souls. This trip was a short one, and as mentioned, does have a couple hours missing of stuff, but nevertheless has more crazy stuff from yours truly. And without further ranting, let's re-introduce our cast of characters!

Well...there's me. Foodie, Work in Food & Beverage, love ALL things Disney, Star Wars nut, Boo obsessed and giant sized kid.

Tim, my BF and love of my life, is not joining us for this trip either sadly. Duty calls at the job front and could not make it.

So, once again my partner in crime for most of the trip will be.....Jennie!!!!

100_6442.jpg

Jennie, another lover of all things Disney, has been living down here for 10 years and working for Disney during that entire time. She is the BIGGEST Star Wars fan you will ever meet and my awesome friend for 15 years now.

Also joining us on this trip, our buddy Keith.

Keith has been a great friend of Jennie's for 10 years now and is also a huge Disney fan. Giant goofball, just like Jennie and I, and fits in perfectly with our stupidness.

So here we go...another entry into MillerPoppins' Adventures in WDW sans rain this time!

YAY! Jennie! She made it. I was worried for a second. I get kinda/sorta motion sick so I totally feel her pain. The only difference is, I've never really cared for Star Tours. If I were a diehard fan though, I'd be so upset that I couldn't experience it regularly! I rode it with Brett in May and once was definitely enough for me.

Okay, about the Boo pictures, no matter how much I may want to, something (probably my uber OCDness) won't allow me to post out of sequence. But hey, we're getting there. We're only one whole trip report away now!

I completely understand the motion sickness thing. It's rough for those who have it.

And I totally understand the posting out of sequence thing. But I just can't wait!!! :zipit::sohappy: I have some photos for you coming soon too...

Oh my! I catched up! Wowzers! Such fun!

So glad Jennie survived Star Tours. I was worried for her. The worst thing when you feel motion-queazy is heat. Ugh!

You totally had me crackin' up on your "Julie's a@@ was right there!" shot! That's frickin' awesome!!!!

I need to go look at those Muppets posters. Where are they? Muppet-lovin' is just my thing! I hope to take more time soakin' up the details in and around there when we get back.

The GMR montage is the reason I even go on that ride. Seriously. I could watch it over and over and.... Brings tears to my eyes every time. I dunno why. Just does.

I've never even seen a parade in DHS but I just may have to stick around for Pixar Pals. Just to see the Up! characters would make it worth it for me. I agree with you on the awesomeness of that movie. It's a huge fav. Oh! I recently got a custom 'Adventure Book' to use for our album when we get our next set of family portraits at Epcot. AND...for our upcoming cruise group gift swap thing I made an Ellie badge for everyone in the group. I can't wait to see how they like 'em. :sohappy:

Lovin' it all. Not suprising. Your trips are such fun to go with you!!!

Thank you for all the great compliments! Yeah, Jennie made it and I was so proud of her! The muppet posters are down the right side of the building if you are standing straight on looking at it. I never knew they were there! It was such a nice little treat to see. Especially since I have been on it so many times. And yes, I am a huge sucker for the Great Movie Ride. I just love it. The montage is so awesome! You should see Pixar Pals Parade but I still love the Pixar Block Party Bash more. Even though the UP characters weren't in it, it was so much more entertaining. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for reading along!

I'm sorry for the delay in updating gang. Little craziness in my world lately. Promise, promise that we will have more within the next two days!

Ok sorry for the delay in posts but we are back!

So I was jumping around, dancing and acting like a thirteen year old. Here comes the Toy Story gang!

I don't care how friendly he was in person to meet, I still hate that strawberry scented bear.

Pure evil

Side note: thanks to that movie and Lotso, my niece will not donate any toys to a local day care because she doesn't want a similar experience to happen to them. True story.

After the parade passed by, it was time for Jennie to head to work. I don't know if it was the heat at this point or the fact that I had been up since 3am, but I had hit a serious wall. Generally I can power through first days in Disney but it was a healthy 99 degrees out with a heat index of 105. I needed a nap.

So we made our way to the parking lot and dropped Jennie off at work. I took her car and headed back to the apt where I proceeded to collapse for two and a half hours on my air mattress.

Two hours later, refreshed and ready to go, I called our friend Keith to go play. Keith is also an avid Disney fan and is game for playing in the parks any time! Within minutes he arrived and we were off. Magic Kingdom it was as we headed in. After breezing through parking, we opted to go with the ferry boat as apparently the monorails had been breaking down frequently. We waited, and perspired...ALOT. But finally, the boat was here and on we were. I don't do the ferryboat option very often as I am a big monorail fan. But this was nice! The scenery was lovely!

Yeahhh....

100_7032.jpg

And we were off!

For Holly & Brett...

Another Ferry Boat!

There it is!!!

We unloaded off the ferry and made our way in. From the looks of things, the place was quite full. It was around 7:30pm and the park was open until 12am that night. So we had a few hours. We passed through security and the main gate, and we were in!!! It was so good to be back!!

New confectionary outside work was completed. Looks really nice!

100_7038.jpg

As we walked down Main Street, we couldn't help but notice that both sides of the street were completely lined with Brazilian Tour Group kids. It was around 7:30! The first parade wasn't til an hour and a half away! And there was a ton of them! Keith commented, "Let's go to Brazil now, there's no one there!!"

100_7041.jpg

Our first stop? Haunted Mansion of course! It's Keith's favorite ride in all of Disney, as well as one of mine. But I was dying to see the new ending. We missed it by two days on my last visit and I really wanted to see it. So we headed right over. As we passed through Liberty Square we noticed that the Brazilians were just on Main Street, they were EVERYWHERE!!! WOW! Thankfully though, the line at Haunted Mansion wasn't too bad!

100_7042.jpg

We skipped through the new interactive queue and headed in. Keith was the equivalent to a giddy little school girl. Being a hardcore Haunted Mansion fan, I was interested to see his thoughts on the ending. But he loved it. And I thought it was super cool too! Our heads were swapped!

Next up, a trip over to Pirates!

100_7043.jpg

Love me some Pirates. And actually liked Pirates 4 quite a bit. Although I am a HUGE Pirates fan, both movies and ride, I was not quite on the boat with a fourth installment. When has a fourth movie ever truly done well aside from Harry Potter??? Plus, let it lie. You're going to kill it if we keep doing this over and over again. As it was, the second and third movies got a bit out there. The first is still the best. But it wasn't bad. A little strange without Orlando & Keira, but I don't blame them for bailing out. Even not being a fan of Penelope Cruz, she wasn't too bad.

Ok I'm done my critique, on to more fun!

100_7044.jpg

We cruised through Pirates and wandered outside to the soupy evening air.

I love your trip report so far and I just had to comment about the Brazilian Tour Groups...I was there for a couple days last month and I could not believe how many Brazilians were there...every time I turned around it was a different sea of tour group shirts! So I couldn't agree with Keith's comment more :)
