The Park Formerly Known as Disney's Hollywood Studios? Yep ...

Ugh. I have no interest in hurling insults back and forth with a handful of hateful people, who have to bully and chase people out of discussions they weren't a part of to begin with -- just to feel important.

I don't care to be around people like you. So, have at it.
Guys like you really need to learn to play nicely with others.

Perhaps you need a juice box.

It's rather obvious that DHS does not now have a bigger than life icon. Since Star Wars is going to be the primary draw in the future, it would make sense to build a Death Star but Disney would never do that. But they'll most likely go with a giant BB-8:

Let's face it, the Chinese Theater has no real appeal, but a giant Star Wars thingamajig will finally boost attendance!

I totally resent being called a guy. You expect females to act stupid and one dimensional and be catty with each other. Just because I don't about brag about domestic duties and giggle about pixie dust -- and, can debate and hold my own with the men here on equal footing, you want to diminish me by calling me a guy.

But, I am so proud to be a modern young woman! I'm not going to cower in a corner and stay in my place to appease you or anyone else.

I've had great debates with all of the best Disney old timers, like The Baron, Mr. Pirate, Walt's Frozen Head and so many other informative Disney guys -- all gentlemen. They didn't disrespect me or diminish me -- they taught me how to debate about Disney and they taught me very well.

I know you think that all females are supposed to be fat and nasty and dumb acting. And, just talk about their kids and husband, but that's just not me. And, I am not apologizing for it.

Oh, and I know exactly what you need, too bad you can't get it.

Okay so, I've got to unsubscribe from this thread before anymore cheap shots trickle in or I will be at this all night. I can't believe I spent this much time on here today. LOL.
Methinks there are guys who fear strong women around these parts.

Charge ahead, Ms. Siren!

We have plenty of great women with great opinions that post regularly. Most of them don't have a snotty passive aggressive attitude though. I don't recall any one of them reminding everyone that they are strong women, it is just assumed by how they conduct themselves..

Funny how if you remind people of how smart, or strong you are, the less likely that it is actually true.

Im sorry but how did the heck did you get ALL that from him trying to tell people to simmer down? There is no need to take things personal.

This morning, I responded to this post with just a meme.

I will now post an actual rebuttal. For the sake of space I will put it all in a spoiler tag. And to properly view this you have to unignore @Siren .
It's a lot easier to notice a factual error in an argument you disagree with than one you agree with.

No dark sarcasm in the classroom.

This angle is going to be more visible if everything around it is getting razed.

It is rather odd to have two Star Wars simulators. I'm pretty sure the difference is that Star Tours is a tour of the galaxy and the Falcon ride seems like a space battle.

I actually agree with you that DHS needs a coaster or water ride. Star Wars would be totally appropriate, thematically, for a coaster (for a while it was rumoured that a bike coaster would come to Star Wars Land until it was recycled for Shanghai), but the only water-themed planet I can conjure up off the top of my head is Naboo, and I think we know how well that ride would turn out.

Agree with you there. That name would probably decrease attendance :hilarious:

The Frozestrom debacle has been talked about so much over the past two years that there's nothing I can say at this point that has not been repeated before.

There's something repeatedly going to the Frozen and Hollywood makeover threads and posting the same argument every time seemingly just to get a reaction that would get people to think that.

I wish that was true.

I'm pretty sure @Cesar R M replies to you whenever you post because he watches the threads you post in.

They're both equally charming in my opinion. This is the kind of opinion that cannot be backed up with logic, but cannot be destroyed with logic, either. It's just a matter of taste.

It should be similar to this rendering but not exactly the same. Notice that every character appears at once on the side of the building. This probably won't happen in the actual show. I'm actually as excited for this show as you are.
Pink Floyd FTW!!!!!!!

And the thing is, I barely even post here, so if you are watching me like that than you are watching me way to closely. .
Please don't worry, I'm not watching you at all. You just keep popping up across the forum.

Thank you for taking the time in the posts above to make your position (and sex) clearer for everyone. I'm sure we can all play nice now.

I think it would be more appropriate as BB-8ship Earth.

So you're saying, that it's acceptable for an entire theme park to be overrun and consumed with *one* IP that's not even Disney. But it's not okay for Disney's most successful IP to replace *one* thirty year old ride that was underutilized for most of it's existence. Got it.
I still can't really say for sure whether this is b8 or not, but w/e. When that one IP is arguably the most culturally influential franchise of the 20th century, and the park it's "overrunning" has a grand total of 5 rides operating, yes. I'm not mad about Maelstrom closing for a new attraction. I think a new attraction is due, and that Maelstrom was outdated. But you seemed to have completely lost the entire point of my first response. The reason I don't like it is because Frozen has almost nothing to do with Norway, except that some of the architecture in the film has Norwegian influences. The book it was based on was written by a Danish author. Frozen isn't even set in Norway, it's set in a fictional land of Arendelle. And the ride isn't even going to be anything about Norway. It just doesn't fit.

One shouldn't judge a park by the number of rides it has.

If you want rides, then go to Six Flags.

Can anyone confirm the new most-likely-right-now name for the park as "Disney's Cinemagic Kingdom"? Is this the idea that has bested "Disney's Hollywood Adventure"?

Funny, there were some joking references to using this name in this thread well over a year ago! Nobody took it seriously.
I've never heard that.

It actually fits perfectly. The World Showcase is (as Sam Eagle would say), ""A Salute to All Nations, But Mostly America!". No one really cares if the other countries are properly represented or not. The important thing is that the USA is portrayed as the best nation in the entire world. Norway just needs to support the USA by being a fun place to take a few fun photos with Olaf and his friends.

And if Norway (the country) is not happy with that arrangement, then they can renew their sponsorship and have a say in the operation. Norway hasn't sponsored that pavilion since 2002. So I think it's safe to say that we will be seeing a lot more of Olaf!
