The Park Formerly Known as Disney's Hollywood Studios? Yep ...

Didn't they tout Disney's California Adventure becoming Disney California Adventure as a name change?

I guess that kind of helps, but if DHS is the "Hollywood that never was", why are actual streets located in Hollywood, as well as a replica of the Chinese Theatre, a real Hollywood landmark, present in the park?
Romantic images of places are built on some actualities. Think the World Showcase pavilions or New Orleans Square.

Yes, it sure looks this way.

I mentioned this as a possibility over a year ago when talk of Star Wars getting an expanded presence and a Cars Land were being pushed for TPFKaTD-MGMS.

Well, now it appears almost a certainty that the park will be fully rebranded and renamed, yet again, within the not too distant future.

I'm hesitant to place this out because these things tend to have lives of their own and go off in many directions. And I haven't had it confirmed.

But I have had a few different folks in vastly different lines of the business tell me that the whole BS DHS moniker will be thrown away when the park changes its focus (let's face it, my Spirited bedroom sees more 'studio' type work than Disney's fourth gate).

So ... say buh-bye to the DHS name. And the entire focus of the park, which right now is more out of focus than the misshapen Roger Rabbit in the window over Hollywood and Vine.
The new name is Disney Movie Park, featuring simplified grammar for the uneducated masses and a straightforward title that doesn't require imagination. IgerVision, the concept's crowning achievement, enables guests to pull up iPad versions of any movie clip from The Disney Holding Co. while riding through the park on ECVs. This incredible technology allows guests to immerse themselves in an on-demand virtual universe; more importantly, by focusing eyes downward onto digital devices, IgerVision saves the Disney Holding Company millions of dollars that would have been used on physical attractions and theming. Shareholders needn't worry; every 10 minutes, a paid advertisement entices guests to purchase new, limited-edition merchandise made in an environmentally safe method from recycled Magic Bands.

Simply call it Disney's Hollywood. It is not a studio anymore, but it is becoming an amalgam of great parts of Hollywood.

or

Disney's Movie Kingdom (DMK)
or
Disney's World of Movies (DWM)
or
Disney's Movie World (DMW)
or
Disney's Hollyworld??? (DHW)
or
Disney's Universe of Hollywood....but that would spell (DUH)
how about
Disney's International Cinematic Kingdom ....oh wait that would spell....um nevermind.

I think they should name it Hyperion Wharf. It is a memorial to the original Studio of Walt's and can have a general theme that isn't to matchy-matchy. We all know what happened to the last Hyperion Wharf concept though...

Glad I never stopped calling it MGM.
My parents still call it MGM and it gets on my nerves since MGM had no part in the park at all other than the name and Great Movie Ride scenes but MGM still gets all the credit.

Anyway, I like the Studio theme but if they do change the name and focus it would not bother me. The park needs some serious love, as does Epcot though.
