Believe me I would. We aren't really supposed to do that, and my managers wouldn't be too happy.

I'll see what I can do in two weeks when I'm there.

I know I'm just pulling your leg. (I think I do that to much. :ROFLOL:)

yes, well I saw this same "Paris concept" a million years ago in 1971.

and I want to add that I am glad that we are "discussing this " and not arguing about it.

this is not about personalities or what not. and I was not trying to disrespect anyone and their inside information. or park knowledge. you all have information far and above any that I can provide. I just have the knowledge and the privilege of having ridden the ride when I did.

Are you positive that it wasn't another park?

All I want to know is WTH is the Big Tree.:lookaroun:lol:
Well you see there is this tree and it is really big.:lookaroun Actually from my understanding Disney has replacement trees, understudies if you will, for many if not all of the trees in the parks should any meet with an untimely end. I have no clue how true it is but that is what I was told.

Just as a side note, I thought the Jungle Cruise was originally tied to Disney's nature tv shows, resulting in a more serious tone for the attraction .. don't know how they'd work an animated character into the script. Speaking of which, an original script may help to shed some light on the topic as well.

EDIT : this was referencing the original DL ride. Apparently the corny scripts started in the mid-60s, pre-WDW

Well, Disneyland's was originally a serious ride for a year or so, and then Walt and WED switched it up a bit to incorporate the humor.

There's a video on the Disney site where Tony Baxter talks about it.

This remind me of people who swear that they saw ships collide with the Death Star's shield in ROTJ in theaters, despite the fact that it never happened.
Oh god please to not shed light on that old rumor. What was even better was when the movies were re-released and there were no ships crashing into the shield the delusional claimed that it was edited out in the same fashion that episode IV was added into A New Hope.

Oh I remember that. Though, I'm pretty sure it was really this.

OK, I was there October 1st 1971 and not only was King Louie there, but there was also the giant can of mustard later used in America on Parade in that ride plus MULTIPLE "big trees" that sang the entire score of 1776 (this was when JC went though Liberty Square because the riverboat was just a canoe in those days) and Obama danced the Charleston on top of the Haunted Mansion (Obama's old people).

It totally happened people and my psychiatrist agrees with me.

I rode it in '73 and, as an 8 year old, and my memory was that it was BORING.:snore: I don't remember those bits, but I can't swear to the accuracy of my memory.
