The one thing you look most forward to

Seeming that there hasn't been a good question like this I thought I would start. When getting ready, going and getting to WDW, what one thing do you look most forward too? A certain smell, sight, ride, taste, what? For me it would be seeing the resort for the first time as we just arrive, whether it's thwe one we are staying at or not. Just the site of it says we are there. :animwink: :D :sohappy:

Dole Whips

I love Dole Whips. The current tradition for all my trips is to go to the Magic Kingdom, ride Pirates, and then have a Dole Whip while my friend watches Captain Jack's Pirate Tutorial.

I look forward to not having to worry about what is going on in the rest of the world. Just escaping reality. ahhhh!!:)

Going back to when I was a child...many, many years ago.

When my parents would take me to WDW in the late 70s and early 80s, we always arrived at night. I look back most fondly on the trouble I used to have going to sleep at the hotel knowing that Disney is out there waiting for me to arive. The anticipation of getting up early, having breakfast and telling my Mom and Dad, "come on, come on...Disney is about to open, we have to be there before it opens!!"

Funny thing is...I still feel that way when I go today. Except that now, I'm telling my wife to hurry up and eat...

Stepping on main street, looking at all the shops, people, the castle and smelling the confectionary store. Then stopping in the confectionary store to buy my white chocolate, milk chocolate chunk cookie - a must eat on each trip to the world.

when I get on the Monorain and I hear the 'Please stand clear of the doors'.. in Spanish.. That for me tells me I'm there.... My wife laughs at me because I get such a big grin on my face.

Going back. That the first thing I look forward to. As soon as I leave I look forward to the day I can go back.

I always look forward to seeing Cinderella castle!:king:
I take tons of photos of it...even though I already have dozens.
I read somewhere that it is thought to be the most photographed building in the world.
I got a nice shot of it last summer in the evening from The Crystal Palace.

This is hard one. Well i stay off site and when we got to the magic kingdom we see Epcot through the trees!Thats what i look forward too and also that sweet tower of terrow billboard thing. One last thing: When your leaving the airport all the signs of rides and attractions! Thats the stuff!

We have always gone in on the road to the Magic Kingdom (I think it is World Drive), and still do to this day so we can see the sign that says "Welcome To Walt Disney World"

A few things for me...

We drive in and when we cross the brisge in Jacksonville, I know we're getting close.

Walking through the entrance in MK and looking down Main Street is always, always a thrill.

Our annual meal at the Crystal Palace because I can see how much the kids have grown. Every year, they're a little closer to Pooh's shoulder!!

That feeling that the outside world doesn't exsist -- even if just for a little while. Magical!!

I look foward to going to epcot and hopping on the boat at World Showcase and heading to Italy to see whats new souviner wise.:lol: I also look foward to seeing the resort too. I look foward 2 everything I guess!:shrug:
