Anyone happen to know if the new 2-Disc Disneyland Official Album will be available at Walt Disney World or will it be just exclusive to Disneyland? I know that's usually the case in the past but wondering if they're making an exception since the whole celebration is for Disneyland. And plus that means I'll wait to get it in the park rather than order it from Disneyland DelivEars.

I just received an email from DisneyDirect from my phone order that my CD's have shipped. I will let you know when I receive it and how it looks!

Joe I ordered my 2 cd DL set from DL and my 2 disc WDW set from WDW.
I don't know if it's true, but the CM's I spoke with told me that each cd was exclusive to their respective park. And shipping to Canada was $25 each cd!

hey guys, sorry i havent posted in a while but i just got off the phone ith the wdw mail order laady and i just ordered the new cd and the walt disney world version is called, "Official Album of Walt Disney World Celebrating DisneyLand's 50th Anniversary of the Happiest Place On Earth" mine wont get here for 2 weeks the official price was 24.98 with 8.00 shipping fee.

I am certainly not an authority on this, but I have read 2 different things: 1. the 2 disc sets are park exclusives and therefore will not be available on disney direct or 2. the 2 discs won't be out on the shelves til next week so maybe that's why you can't find them yet on disney direct.

Apparently a 1 disc version will be for sale in national retailers like Best Buy etc. In fact, it's currently for sale for $13.99 on Amazon.

If anyone knows differently please feel free to correct me! :wave:

well, if that is the case....... im going to be bugging one of you that live in the orlando based area, next time you are at wdw, pick me up a copy of the 2cd set and ill mail you a check. i dont want the cropped version. lol

The 1 disc nationwide release is a shortened version. The 2 disc version, from my understanding, will be made available at a later date. Don't quote me on that.

Got my email as well for my order. UPS is dropping off my CD set on Friday, April 29th. Yay!

6 CD Set Musical History of Disneyland

I ordered my 6 CD set on Tuesday, when I tracked my order on disneydirect.com today it said my item was backordered. So, hopefully this means it will ship soon. I think I got my order in time to have one reserved for me before they sold out. What I really wanted to say was this whole Musical history of Disneyland thing has been really crazy. They should have limited the number of sets you could purchase. I am sure some greedy ebay sellers ordered 10-25 of them with the intent to sell them for over the $125 price. Limiting the number of sets that could be purchase could ensure that more Disney fans could get one without having to pay over the $125 price. I mean the set is already expensive enough. I am sure if I went over to e-bay right now, I bet there already are a couple of sets posted.

i know, it does make me sick for 2 reasons

1) i feel like they are exploiting the limited edition just to make a buck and taking the opportunity for others that really want it to get it at cost
2) the other is......... WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT!

I totally agree! I can understand maybe letting somebody purchase two sets, but when you let dealers buy as many as they want, that takes away from other Disney fans who want to purchase it. Especially considering that Disney Direct only had 1,000 units to sell to begin with. That is why some sort of limit should have been established. The level of greed is just unbeleviable when it comes to these type of limited edition things!
