The next big thing........Another live trip report!

In honor of @disneysince71, I'd like to post as we go. It was so much fun reading along, I figured, "why not?" I tried this in February, but it only lasted half the trip. I picked up a stomach bug midway and ended up tossing the phone in the sink in the wee hours of the morning ending any updates. Hope to avoid that this time! :mad: iphones can be expensive! Anyway, I can't promise to be as active as she was, but I'll try to keep it current and not aggravate my wonderful family as we enjoy Disneyworld!
On a side note, our flight has already been delayed until 6:50 PM. We were hoping to check in at the Yacht Club then head to MK for EMH. Don't think that will happen now, but we shall see what we shall see.
The trip is from Today, June 30 through July 14. The first week will be spent at the YC. Our second week at AKL. My wife and I will be traveling with our son, 10, and daughter, 8. Very excited, but now bummed with this delay! :(

One thing they DO have in common, though...they're ALL 3 "Disnuts"...!!! :)

Thanks, it was another great shift! The Store can get quite crazy sometimes, as you can imagine, 'cause after all, it IS retail. :confused: ;) But, I always try to remember how Walt would have approached it. I really do have fun and make it as Magical as possible for Guests of all ages and it does get recognized. One of my favorite things is to have a Guest come in grumpy and send 'em out chucklin'...a GREAT feelin'...! :) And, workin' there sure does give me my Disney fix between trips...!!! :D :) Between doin' Guest Service, workin' the register, and keepin' the Store well-recovered, they didn't need to use my on call this evenin'. :( ;)
So, until next weekend, back to my "Imagineer" ;) (designer for an architectural firm) job, tomorrow mornin', I go...!!! :)

I have to agree, the CMs at our local Disney Store are great. We love talking Disney with them

Yep, so many Guests come in each shift that have either just been on a Disney trip or are just gettin' ready to go on one! It's DEFINITELY a blast to talk all about it with them... where are they stayin', what's their favorite Park, Do they have any ADR's, etc.!
Also, I work in one of the older "Pink and Green" Stores, and it's filled with Hidden Mickey's! :)
How I found this out...? When we got back from our trip in July of '07 (and before I was ever a CM there), we were headed to the mall one Saturday, and I thought to myself... "Hmmm...I wonder if there are any HM's in that Store...?" Sure 'nough! Found a few that day, and, in the almost four years I have worked there, I'm pretty sure I've found all the rest...pretty sure, anyway...! o_O ;) :)
As you can imagine, It's a BLAST to see the look on Guests faces who are in the know about HM's when I tell them they're in The Store, and to hip those that have never heard about them before in the first place...!!! :)

Yep, it always cracks me up how many folks think there's an inversion in the backwards dark part of EE. Nope, it's just backwards and dark...! We love that puppy!!! :)
DW always gives my old beeeeehind heck for turnin ' our kiddos into thrill ride junkies...! ;)

Yep, love Teppen Edo. So many places like it, even around here, but just seems more special at Disney! :)
Mexican - both Tex-Mex and interior Mexican food all over Texas, so we have never done before. Have heard mixed reviews, but need to try for ourselves to make our own decision...! :)

Good grief, Charlie Brown...! ;) I wanted to get caught up tonight, but it ain't gonna' happen...! :( :confused:
But, like I said, I'm now on a quest.
All of you awesome folks on this site that post your AWESOME live trip reports just make me wanna' do my own for our next trip...!!! Memories captured forever in real time!!!!!! We already have SOOO many, but this is somethin' I'll do next time', for sure. Although this older dude still needs to get some pics up of us in the "Say Hi" (I think it is, thread), threads like these are so beyond cool! We're not there with y'all, but we might as well be! Obviously, it can be so time consuming, but thank you for taking the time to take us on y'alls Magical journey with y'all! It's more appreciated than you'll ever know!!! Thank you, good Sir...!!!!! :)
