At high school in the mid-70's, it was so un-cool to like Disney. Going to DL was even more fun because of that; it was like being part of a secret club that just happened to have a gazillion members. As a Californian, I would--without fail--spot a classmate with his/her family at the park during summer. We'd nod to each other. Continue on. Never mention it back home. :D

What happens in Disneyland, stays in Disneyland.

TBH that was still the case when I was in high school in the late 90s.

Do we know why Paint the Night isn't running right now?

DCA has zero night time entertainment with World of Color down, and no Paint the Night.

Disneyland has a mediocre projection show, with Fantasmic closed for refurbishment.

Soundsational is coming back- but I'm not seeing any info for Paint the Night or Pixar Play Parade for DCA.

Honestly, that's a bit ridiculous. With both night time spectaculars down (Woc and F!), there should really be more than one MMM showing a night since it's a projection show- as well as Paint the Night running twice at DCA.

PtN isn't running due to the festival booths, so first for the Festival of Holidays and then in March for the Food & Wine Festival. PtN should be coming back in Spring (end of April/May).... Or at least that is the impression I got from @GiveMeTheMusic

Blues are in Anaheim. Someone go to the game for me right now so I can live vicariously through you as I am stuck in Pennsylvania.

On a recent MiceChat article, people were complaining about all the additional ads that have been added that now block most of the pictures. I suggested using an ad blocker. Dusty wrote back:

Blocking ads is like stealing. If you want there to continue to be a MiceChat, don’t block or encourage others to block our ads. You wouldn’t go to a restaurant and then encourage the other guests not to pay.

Is Dusty insane?

These days, adblocking is a lot like virus protection. Especially with all the sketchy ads out there.

I've stopped visiting many film/park/gaming news sites because poor use of advertising has rendered them obnoxious, glitchy or worse. There are ways to work advertising into a site without ruining the experience for the reader, and site managers shouldn't defend the concept as if it were an "all or nothing" choice.
(EDIT) Okay, right now, I'm glancing over at an ad that seems to be insinuating I might be in need of treatment for flabbiness (gasp). But I'm okay with that, because it's reasonably sized, not in front of anything I'm trying to view, and it's not forcing me to click anything to get rid of it.

Yes? I didn't realize the consensus was still up in the air on this.

Some sites have an ad-blocker blocker. Wonder how well that works for them? Sseeing I click out of the site if they don't let me access with a blocker ;)

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
