Zootopia won’t come to any US parks anytime in the foreseeable future. Corporate is afraid of the fan base.
Let alone the fan base, it will never come to the US for the same reasons that Get Out will never come to Horror Nights: It's Far too politically charged. So, what you end up with is the combined factors of a niche fan base and politics (let alone meh merch sales), a sizable Zootopia presence is a non-starter.

It's not perfect, but it has the same feeling as the classic Disney princess movies in a lot of parts. Probably the last really good Disney animated movie.
I agree! It had an amazing soundtrack unlike Frozen, the voices of the characters weren’t annoying like Moana, and it wasn’t trying to relate to other franchises like Big Hero 6. Hopefully, Disney comes up with an original concept that is actually good!

I really liked Zootopia, but then a Disney noir is right up my alley. I'm sure it will fit in great in Shanghai.

It's a great film that thrives on social commentary. Definitely a fun watch and I loved the pop culture references- but is it really a "deserves it's own land in a Disney park" good?

I've often wondered what my breaking point would be, especially with what it costs to go these days.

Getting rid of Splash/ Critter Country for an animal metropolis on the banks of the ROA next to NOS would be up there. Other than that, anything involving major attraction altering changes to POTC/ HM or getting rid of them entirely. Turning NOS into Pirate land. Getting rid of the ROA or Storybookland. Turning the Matterhorn into a frozen ride. Getting rid of the DLRR or Jungle Cruise.

Definitely not. My wife and I enjoyed it when we saw it in theatres and I never saw it again. It always felt like a DreamWorks movie to me for whatever reason.

These execs are so out of touch. Not every film that does decent at the box office needs its own damn land. Pretty soon we re going to have parks with 6 single IP lands. Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar/Toy Story and whatever 3 movies just came out.

I think WDI has shown that they're willing to do quite a bit fans aren't expecting- I'm extremely curious to see how it looks a decade from now.

Of all the examples I listed I think Storybookland is probably in the greatest danger. Two low capacity, non IP attractions (in the modern sense of the meaning) taking up a huge chunk of real estate. Especially if you combine it with the FL theatre. Thankfully, I think they have a lot of other places they can tinker with the park first.

To play devils advocate for a second, I wonder how many people would really care about Storybookland going away or even notice as long as Monstro stayed with a small water way facing the Teacups.

Since I don't really care about any park outside of Disneyland itself, I'm okay with whatever they other parks do.

I know my daughter would be unhappy if Storybookland went away. That said, I teased her about they possibility of a Frozen attraction and she absolutely lit up so her tastes are all over the place.

I’m dead. Heaven is great.

Hurray! I think I'm like the only person who is both legitimately excited for this land AND doesn't want it to come to the US. Exclusivity is king.

No one flag down the resident WDW Zootopia fanbois. This thread is too deeply hidden for them.

Is every day hot dog day in heaven @GiveMeTheMusic ?

It made more money than any Disney/Lucas/Marvel/Pixar film in China. Until Infinity War.

Pretty sure "deserves" was in a completely separate room from the approval discussion they had in corporate.

Zootopia was the best Dreamworks movie Disney ever put out

Ha ha ha! Zootopia was probably the best Dreamworks movie that anyone ever put out. (aside from HTTYD)
