Light to moderate passing showers all day today in Anaheim, but it's COLD! 46 degrees right now in Anaheim at 3:30pm Pacific Time.

The rain doesn't bug me, but it needs to be at least 55 degrees if it's wet and drippy like today. Once you get below 50 degrees and it's rainy and everything is wet, the Disneyland fun stops almost instantly.

EDIT: I just looked up my old suburban New England neighborhood. It's snowing heavily and 17 degrees there right now. So, maybe the 46 and rain showers in Anaheim isn't so bad? 🤔

I'm at 1300' elevation. We got snow mid morning (35°F!) but it didn't stick. Dog was not impressed. I thought about driving us a short ways to where it was sticking but TV also showed lots of wrecked cars. I can control my vehicle but not others.

Just shy of 2000' in Rancho Cucamonga, snowed for a few hours this morning and stuck around for a bit.

No, the cat is not spoiled... she was just picked up from her basket in front of the fireplace... carried around outside... and then toweled off before being placed back in her basket...

The Freedom Chickens in Big Bear were unimpressed-

I love those eagles! I tune in to them a few times per week.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is their names; Jackie and... Shadow (?!?). I think it would be terribly clever if they named each breeding pair after a President and First Lady. You could have George and Martha, John and Jackie, Richard and Pat, Ron and Nancy, Barack and Michelle, etc., etc. Terribly clever, don't you think?!?

Well, at least I think so.

They're named as babies. You can't choose who mates with who. He's not her first partner.

Oh, I didn't know that! I assumed the camera was placed at whatever nest had eggs/chicks that season. That's fascinating. I'll have to look into this more; I've just been watching their web cam every few days without knowing much about Bald Eagle mating and chick rearing.

He's not her first partner.

Wow. I knew things can get wild up in Big Bear, but I had no idea it was that wild!

I'll look at this more. What a fun and interesting concept this whole thing is. Thank you! :)

Don't do it! There will be other weekends. Not that a little rain ever hurt anyone (I've been to Tokyo Disneyland and WDW in heavy torential downpours, in Tokyo fueled by typhoons) and not that Disneyland isn't fun and unusually pretty in the rain.

But the freeways will be a nightmare! And if your travel includes anything above 1,000 feet (the Grapevine, the 15, the Foothill Freeway, even the 10 and the 8, etc.) there is a good chance the freeways will be closed due to heavy snow.

Stay home. Have some soup and hot bread! Even better, make your own soup and/or bread from scratch! Make a hot toddy. Or hot cocoa from scratch is fun too! Wear your sweats and watch a favorite old movie as the rain hits the windows. It's going to be a brutal travel weekend for the entire state.

Friday night is the worst of it for SoCal. But Saturday/Sunday will be very unusually cold and still showery at times.

Haha, okay! You convinced me; I played it safe. I'm just in Pasadena, so I can go anytime. Disneyland is typically extra charming on an overcast or slightly rainy day, but Saturday might've been a bit much.

Kicking myself for not making a hot toddy. Gotta start keeping honey in the house.

Personally I like this Red Panda a lot better than Disney's. Canada's greatest superhero. Along with the Flying Squirrel, they protect the citizens of Toronto, Ontario from villains ranging from gangsters and supervillains to the supernatural forces of darkness.

If I have a choice between almost anything else and Panda Express, I'm probably choosing almost anything else.

Oh, come on! Even a picky and snotty old queen like myself can admit that it's not that bad.

I mean, if I'm hungry and I have a choice between Panda Express on one end of the WalMart parking lot and a McDonald's on the other end of the WalMart parking lot, I'm probably going to choose Panda Express.

Their General Tso's Chicken and chow mein isn't that bad. It's not great, but it isn't that bad.
