If you get on Storybook or Casey Jr... get some pictures of the Patchwork Quilt. They replaced that too and it seemingly has gone completely unnoticed since.... even by the super fans.
We did not get on but looked from the exit at Casey Jr and it did look different. No artificial turf but possibly drought resistant plants. It didn't look bad but again, we saw from a distance.

So had my final MK visit last night with my daughter. Overall, an enjoyable evening. She has a DAS so we were able to get on Space, Thunder, Subs (which looked great to me) and Rise. We also watched the 10:30 final showing of MSEP.

One thing I continue to be dumbfounded by how people dress at act Disneyland. Some people really have zero concerns just letting it all hang out in public. I mean, try to cover up a little bit. And don't get me started on some of what we saw and heard from guests last night. Just the random swearing where everyone around can hear, dropping trash as they walk, etc. We were on Space Mountain and a kid got out of the rocket at the load, was immediately yelled at by a CM to which daddy climbed out of his rocket and started yelling at the CM. Consequently, they had to shut the ride down, turn on all the lights and cascade all of the cars that were on the track back to the station one at a time before they could start the attraction up again. I was afraid this guy was gonna punch the CM, who maintained his cool and handled it quite well. I would have loved to see this jackhole get kicked out of the park but they let him back on the ride (our rocket of course) and he went on his merry but grumpy way.

There is a part of me that will miss visiting the park but the last year has been great reminder to me why it's time to take a break.

The only problem with artificial turf is you have to make sure weeds don't start growing in it. They put down layers of garden fabric and some weed barriers but they still get through. It's not a leave it and forget it.

As far as Casey Jr., the only thing offensive is the big blue Dumbo wall. I'm surprised vines still haven't covered that yet.

I just stopped at Rubys in Costa Mesa/ Orange County on my way to SD and all I can say is God Bless Orange County and God Bless America!

Need to find a way to move out here.

The Mickey planter looks fine. I don't think I would notice that it is artificial. Like @mickEblu said, the HM grass is the only "lawn" I'm not thrilled with. Maybe it's just the lighting in the photos, but the color just seems off for the tones of the HM. In the pics I've seen, the grass seems like it's on the bright yellow-green end of the grass spectrum, when a darker, blue grass kind of look would fit the mansion better, IMO. Again, just an opinion from pictures. Maybe it is fine in person.
