That’s right, you’re too busy being mad at Disney for a non-issue. :p

BTW, I’ve seem so many parents using reusable water bottles and pouring drinks into them long before the no lid policy. So someone’s got time for it.
Next, we will have to bring our own napkins and toilet paper to the park, too. As guests, we shouldn’t be inconvenienced like this. When I come to the park, I don’t want to be holding more than my wallet, keys, and phone. There’s no way I’m ever going to bring my own reusable cup.

The no-lids policy is annoying, but then again, it's not nearly as annoying as the ridiculous prices theme parks charge for soft drinks, considering each serving cost the park pennies. It's a rip-off, pure and simple. So, any new policy that helps discourage me from wasting money on a soda is okay by me.

If I could go back in time and tell my 1982 self that one day carrying a phone around Disneyland would be considered normal and even necessary, I would have said, "Yeah? Well, who's the President of the United States, Future Boy?"

You're being a bit ridiculous about napkins and toilet paper. Disney isn't the only major entertainment venue to stop offering lids. Most sports complexes have stopped offering lids with drinks for years now. It surprised me too a couple years ago going to an NFL game, and even complained about it, but I got over it and moved on with life.

Also I assume you're not a parent bringing your kids along with stroller to the park. The statement about bringing a reusable resealable cup was directed to a parent who is not bringing just a wallet, keys, and phone.

Of course it’s ridiculous, but my point is I don’t want to bring more than what’s necessary. Not having a lid isn’t the end of the world, but it’s certainly an inconvenience.

Inconvenient maybe, but Disney isn't the only entertainment company to do this, and they certainly weren't the first and won't be the last.

This. Six Flags hasn't had lids in years.

I am conflicted though. I never buy soda in the parks (to expensive) but if I was gonna shell out $4.75 for a coke, I'd want a lid and straw.

Concerning micechat update today. Lots of planters getting removed, and now they're modifying the beautiful Frontierland entrance.

Which is strange, since visually, it was fine- the Tomorrowland entrance is a far worse chokepoint with those fry rocks. Thought they'd have dealt with that first.

I have a feeling TL Rocks and PM Tracks being removed is the big project that's coming after the new year.

I'm gonna guess that the PM tracks won't be removed. I assume the planter removals will be deemed enough, since the PM removal project would be far more intensive and intrusive. The rocks will (hopefully) become a part of yesterland soon.

NFL, MLB, NBA, MLS, and almost all concert venues all stopped using lids and straws years ago as well. If anything Disney is late to the party... ;):p:cool:

Reusable Disney Souvenir cups coming soon...

MC still seems to think PM track removal is happening. So who knows....

Why can't Disneyland sell refillable cups with built in straws like everyone else does? The cup would be $30 $60 (its disney) for free refills all year.

"The Pixar Fest Wraps will be staying on the Monorails for a bit longer. This is unfortunately due to the paint peeling off of Monorail Blue when the wraps were removed . . . right down to the primer. As of the time of writing, there was no immediate plan on how to resolve the situation, or how to get the wraps off of Red and Orange without damaging their paint as well. Part of why this is such an issue is the original paint has materials in it that can’t be used in California. Disneyland will need to either repaint with something new or ship the train out to be serviced elsewhere. Dude! "

They need to be stripped and repainted anyways. Maybe this will get them thinking about a new fleet, ones with AC.
