The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

DCA is such a weird case study. On paper, it’s the most successful second gate (arguably including DisneySea). It has a great number of headliners (I’d say Guardians, Racers, Soarin’, Incredicoaster, Grizzly), and a massive supporting roster that makes it to where even on the busiest days, the park has something to do with no wait. Almost every land contains a good balance of headliners, supporting attractions, food and bev, and entertainment. That alone should make it better than all of WDW’s secondary parks, but if asked to rank Disney’s domestic parks, the vast majority of people rank it in 5th (sometimes 4th).
I agree with this. I find DCA to be very misunderstood, I personally love it but can see people’s issues with the park.

I personally have many theories for why this is the case, but I think it has less to do with the aesthetics and cheese (which have largely been purged from the park), and more to do with having Disneyland across the street.
Okay, I can’t help but ask about your secret message . . . ?

Combined with a similar message of his in another post, it could mean a significant change (with questionable utility) coming to DL.

Oh wow didn’t even notice the codes as I look at these on my phone with small text.

Treehouse is going to yesterland? Or is it being rethemed? The decided word from the other post would insinuate the former.

Yeah, how would DCA rank if it's plopped down in Florida?

So my last post got me thinking what is the complete list of Disneyland exclusive rides?

I have:

Alice in Wonderland
Mr. Toads Wild Ride
Matterhorn
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Gadgets Go Coaster 🤷🏻‍♂️
Great Moments with Mr Lincoln

At DCA (I’m leaving the flat rides out)

RSR
Mission Breakout
Grizzly River Run
Incredicoaster
Soarin Over California (when it’s playing)
Web Slingers (for now)

Interesting that 4 of DCAs 5 E tickets are exclusive to DCA.
Indiana Jones. Dinosaur is not the same ride

It would be called Disney Florida Adventure with it's signature attraction called Spring Breakers - the ride featuring ex-Disney channel stars in bikinis. The alligator enclosure is a huge hit as well as the Disney World tribute dark ride.

Disney’s California Adventure lacks an idea, it’s Universal Studios Anaheim. The parks at Walt Disney World are all still associated with an idea that creates an attachment beyond a list of rides.

Yup. You know how they say every house needs a good foundation? Well DCAs foundation sucks. They abandoned the California thing but never really came up with a new direction. They dumped a whole bunch more money in which helped a lot but didn’t address the core issue. At least the money they spent from 2001 - 2016 was money well spent. Everything they ve spent money on since is such a waste of money. 100s of millions spent on bad rethemes and a grand total of one new ride. A bad one at that. It just comes off as a hodge podge of lands and ideas and even the lay person notices.

I think they're still paying the karmic cost of not moving forward with WestCOT. DCA as it currently stands could be fixed, but it would require a lot more than current brass are willing to spend.

Lol. Some random letters are italicized. One post was decoded to say “Timber” and another one said “Tarzan.”

So I took it like “Timberrrrrrr”

Would explain why it’s been down so long.

Cmon @Magic Feather spill the beans lol

A retheme could be possible..... (God don't let that poster come back who kept talking about trash cans)

But would it be really worth it to remove the whole thing, I wouldn't think so.....

I hope it’s being rethemed and not being demo’d. I like the presence of the treehouse but don’t care for the Tarzan theme. Hopefully I’m taking “TIMBER” the wrong way and it doesn’t mean that they found out the Treehouse is compromised.

If it had been the word Treehouse instead of Tarzan I would have been inclined to believe a complete removal, but the fact it says Tarzan indicates more of a retheme.
