Meh, I've eaten at the Earl of Sandwich. I didn't think it lived up to the hype.

It’s just a decent sandwich place. Been there 2-3 times. The turkey club (?) is pretty good. It’s really the only place at the resort to get a sub or at least a variety of them.

Anyway, the point of the post was that a DTD business that was shut down for the hotel is coming back.

Nah, still too futuristic.
I'm talking about a land with the likes of Horizons, COP, People Mover, Cranium Command, Body Wars (or ATIS) and a Sea Base Beta.

While I know Disney likes to market nostalgia, I just can't see that happening. No matter how much we think its a cool idea.

I still like "TodayLand" though..... :p

I know it won't happen. Frankly, neither will TodayLand. We'll probably be stuck with current Tomorrowland until Chapek finds an IP he likes enough to exploit like they've done with SW for that area. Otherwise, it'll continue to remain a hodgepodge area. I just hope they remove the giant rocks out front. They are pointless functionally and aesthetically.

For those who visit from out of state and go for longer trips; do you find Anaheim tap water gives you a sore throat, and soon afterwards, you get a cold? But when you drink less, on any given trip, you get further into your trip before getting the sore throat, the cold, and the symptoms are less severe?

That's about as likely as me being elected president. None of those are really what TL needs anyway. They are old 70s and 80s concepts. Cranium Command and Body Wars should never have even lasted as long as they did. They were on life support.

That sounds like the common travel colds that people get from traveling to different regions.

If you really believe its the tap water, try drinking just bottled water and see if you don't get a cold next time. If you still do you know its not the tap water.

I still think a TL Redo is in the works, maybe just not as grand as we'd like. And I do think they'll remove the rocks, or at least trim them down.

Well, My Wife and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Due to Lane, we changed our flight and will now be going to Disneyland tomorrow and Saturday. Quite excited for my first trip to DL after multiple trips to DW

Have a great time! I’m going to Maui in October. Booked the trip earlier this year. Hopefully the island doesn’t get too beat up.

There Hasn’t been a hurricane in Hawaii since 1992. Sounds about right. Just in time.

Have fun! without writing too long-winded a response, I do want to encourage you guys to go left at park opening to walk on Jungle cruise, indy, big thunder, splash, pooh, and pirates in about an hour or two! Then you can grab a space mountain fastpass and enjoy breakfast at river belle terrace or make a reservation at cafe orleans, hop on the mark twain, what have you. The fantasmic fastpass distribution is near the river belle terrace between Pirates and Big Thunder. If you want to see the 10:30 showing, which would allow you to see the fireworks in front of the castle as well, then check here periodically between 10:30 and 1pm. They'll distribute the earliest show's fastpasses first, then the second show. Firework castle viewing is tricky because of the trees in the hub. Viewing in the back left corner by jolly holiday is pretty good, but sometimes it seems that the closer you get, the more obstructed your view will become with umbrellas and trees. Plaza inn's sidewalk on the way to tomorrowland has a clear shot of the castle, and then anything on main street between penny arcade and the hub will give you a nice mix of castle views and the main street projections in your peripheral vision.

I've never been the best at recommending ways to navigate fantasyland efficiently, but the wait times for small world are really volatile, so wait until they are 20 minutes or less to hop on. Same goes for Nemo in TL. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Peter Pan's Flight obviously, but Snow white, pinocchio, and toad should all be easily accessible. Hop on Casey Jr or Storybook Land Canal Boats and roger rabbit because you don't have those in Orlando. Other gems to see while here, are the fire house that walt's apartment is above, and the Disney Gallery and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. What am I missing?

DCA: The sun sets at 7:45 now. Incredicoaster/the pier looks infinitely better at night. Whatever the wait time is, count back from 7:45 and that's when you should get in line for a night ride. That was confusing. If the line is 45 minutes, and the sun sets at 7:45, don't get in line before 7. Be sure to see paint the night if that is your sort of thing, and work your time spent on Incredicoaster around the time you need to go see that show.
Carsland looks incredible at night, so walk through during the day, at sunset, and stick around for or return for night views. My favorite vista is on the road that leads into pacific wharf/the pier. There is a rest stop with national park maps identifying all the natural wonders. Soarin: Get fastpasses, and then go over to golden vine winery, cove bar, or the beer garden section of golden vine winery for drinks. The line is pretty much unthemed, and fastpasses are seemingly always available. If you need to park hop for nighttime entertainment (and because disneyland stays open 2 hours longer than dca) then know this is really easy to handle. I've left cove bar at 8:45 before for a 9:30 fireworks show on main street with ample time to find a good viewing location, just by following the parade route to buena vista street right out the front gate and back into disneyland. Super easy. If you are trying to park hop for fantasmic, allow easily another 25 minutes to navigate the hub and frontierland/adventureland.

I can usually tackle the resort with a park hopper opening to close (16 hours), but you are lucky that you have 2 days. Hopefully some of these recommendations reach you before saturday and help you make the most of your visit. Have fun!
