Seinfeld is for the dudesA few weeks ago, after finishing Cheers, I embarked on watching Friends for the first time. I am almost through Season 1, and stand by my long-upheld view that it is primarily a "girls" show.

100% I've probably watched through that series over 20 timesSeinfeld is for the dudes
I'd mostly agree with that, but there are still some gut-bustingly funny moments sprinkled throughout the run... mostly involving Joey. Don't stop watching until you hear Joey's definition of the Netherlands. (Season 3 "The One With the Football").A few weeks ago, after finishing Cheers, I embarked on watching Friends for the first time. Oh I'm not trying to say that I'm not finding it funny. Just that it's broader appeal seems to be towards women. I'm determined to watch the whole series.I'd mostly agree with that, but there are still some gut-bustingly funny moments sprinkled throughout the run... mostly involving Joey. Another definitely aimed-more-at-women show I got hooked on via my family was "The Gilmore Girls." Even though no one on that show talks the way real people do, the characters are amazing--Particularly the grandparents, Emily and Richard, who I think might be the best-written and best-performed characters in television history.Oh I'm not trying to say that I'm not finding it funny. Not *that* wealthy. With a couple of exceptions, most of them have to work, pay rent, live with parents when fired, etc. Talking about the characters, of course... the performers are another matter...They're all shows about wealthy white people living in New York.
Have you see the size of their apartments? Not *that* wealthy. With a couple of exceptions, most of them have to work, pay rent, live with parents when fired, etc.
The apartments are discounted because they have no ceilings.Have you see the size of their apartments?

Why do I keep getting ads on here for gay cruises and the like? You can’t be straight and go on Disney fan forums all day?
Just become a Universal fan instead.
I'm not hugely into Friends or Gilmore Girls, but they're OK. What I really don't understand is the Hallmark Channel. Can someone please explain that to me?!Another definitely aimed-more-at-women show I got hooked on via my family was "The Gilmore Girls." Shhh, don't tell anyone, but ad blockers are your friend....
*note* I do turn it off from time-to-time just to give support to this site for funding.
Hahah it’s ok I can deal with it, the way I deal with the other ads. Just was curious about the thought process that goes behind those ads popping up for me on this site all the time.
Thanks for the info though. I didn’t know you could do that. Is it easy?
Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
