I don't believe there's any danger of primarily DL people being sent to Florida.
Kim Irvine’s team is most definitely staying. But what about something like Avengers Campus or Galaxy’s Edge? Those were done by Glendale, not the dedicated Disneyland team. Why would those projects be designed in California and not Orlando now? I don’t think it’s known if they’ll keep a bigger Disneyland team in California to develop new projects and if they do there may not be a lot of permanence in those roles.

An acquitance of mine who is in technology for the company (not parks division) has been told he wont know until Winter if he has to move his family, including a newborn to Orlando. This would mean moving away from both sides of their family.

I'm curious if he will just end up looking for new work if he gets that ultimatum.

Changes like this literally split families apart. If it was me I'd leave the company in a heart beat.

Not having annual passes available makes it really clear just how much I don’t want or at least need to go to Disneyland. There is no urge to go the park multiples times at these prices. Not even the So Cal pass appeals to me. Mostly because the direction the company/park are going and decisions they’ve made in the last couple years. Once or twice a year seems like more than enough right now. With that said, if they had got rid of annual passes in 2018 I’d feel similarly, even if not quite as indifferent or unenthused as ticket prices definitely are a factor as well.

The park has just lost a lot of its luster to me. Walt said “I don't want the public to see the world they live in while they're in the Park.” I know in this quote he meant visually but due to all the PC changes I’ve never felt so much of the real world when at DL.

The non sensical downgrade rethemes at DCA and wasted opportunity/ misplacement of GE don’t help me feel any better either.

So I was planning to buy a two day ticket to Walt Disney World because I'm in Orlando for a week, right?

Except that I'm going for Halloween primarily, so non-Disney things (since, y'know, Disney isn't not running their Halloween Party out there) took priority.

This means that the two Disney days would be separated from each other by about six days. Normally not a big deal.

HOWEVER, at some point Walt Disney World apparently decided that if you bought a two day ticket, you have a four day window to use it and that's sufficient. Not 14. FOUR. Then they expire.

So if I actually want to go for two days, I have to buy two one day tickets even though I'm in the area for a one week period. So now they're going to be lucky to get a one day ticket purchase from me when I was ready to give them money for a two day ticket. I'm not going to shell out money for two one day tickets in a one week period!

So Disney, this is what I have to say:
Dj Khaled Congratulations GIF

Yeah they keep doing stuff like this. At some point it has to catch up to them…right??

You would think so. Not saying Disneyland is sterling and perfect in this regard either. But at least they're not doing things nearly as many transparently cash-grabby things as Florida.

At least, not yet.

The fact that you have use 2-5 day tickets within 13 days is equally annoying

At least with 14 days you have an actual window to use your tickets relatively at your leisure.

I get that it's not as good as tickets that never expired, as used to be the case for both Disney and Universal. But there's also a huge difference between 14 days and 4. I mean, I was going to visit five days apart.

What’s more annoying about the 13 days is I don’t understand the logic. They want you to spend like your on vacation right? Yet if I’m a local and go 13 days after using my first day why not just let me go 28 days after using my first day? What’s the difference?
