Autopia ornament goes nicely with some of my other DL ride vehicles ornaments. I have so many of the DL ride vehicle die casts that I put in storage because my son thought they were toys and wanted to play with them. Crazy kid.

Does anyone know for the So Cal deal going on right now if they check IDs for every person in the party or just the person buying the tickets? Asking for a friend. Really I am. It felt wrong being the Disneyland guy and not knowing the answer.

So far so good. Walked into AutoZone and the mini mart at the gas station without a mask this morning and nobody said a word. I wasn’t the only one either.
In my community I went to the grocery store early this morning. I wore a mask. The half dozen employees I saw were wearing masks. The handful of customers were wearing masks.

It was nice; Indoor mask-wearing in my county is newly recommended but not required.

We are still in the midst of a global health crisis. The more steps everyone can take to stop the spread, the better. Whatever action anyone can contribute—vaccine, mask, distancing—It all adds up.

I (mostly) followed the rules for almost a year and a half. That includes many days at work, outdoors in the heat carrying heavy stuff sometimes. I’m over it. With that said, If I really thought me wearing a mask would wear a difference I’d do it. Currently my LA County is the only county in California requiring masks if I’m not mistaken. Here in LA, we all drive everywhere. OC, SD etc. We re all mingling. I’m just not in the mood to be singled out because I live in LA county. It’s enough. We did it for a year and a half almost and this isn’t even a CDC requirement anymore. They ‘re not even following the rules in Pasadena where we re having my daughters baptism next month.

So is the plan to move the entirety of Imagineering to Florida? Really proves how much less important the development of the parks are to current upper management (who are all staying in Californian) compared to the days of Walt when he would visit them in person weekly.
I don’t think all of Imagineering is going. But I could be wrong. All the company cares about is money, both making as much as possible and spending what little they can.

I feel bad for those who don’t want to uproot their entire lives here and move. I’ve already seen a few tweets from people who are quite upset. They can either go and adapt or quit their job. It sucks.

From what I understand that it is the main core that works for cruise line and wdw that will be relocated.
Those that focus on Hawaii, DL, and Asia parks will be staying in CA.
To me it just sounds like they're trimming the fat so to speak of having to constantly fly them over there. Put them up in rooms/apts for their length of stay etc. They have to do it already for overseas so why not cut out the middle man and have them stay over there in FL.
I do remember in the statement seeing something about moving parts that are more WDW-focused. If that’s the case, then it makes sense. Still feel bad for those who don’t want to leave though.

The resorts all have local offices, including Disneyland. The people in Glendale aren’t necessarily assigned to work on any particular location. A lot of people are also project hires who will have less opportunities for work.

It seems no one actually knows what position s are moving now or the overall plan for Walt Disney Imagineering. The impression I get is a lot of people found out they need to consider moving at most shortly before the announcement.

I'm not super familiar with what's going on with this, but I would imagine it can only be a good thing for people designing and building for Walt Disney World to be located near Walt Disney World.

Instead of this "it's the same as Disneyland, but worse and for stupid people" attitude that has clearly taken root in some corners of WDI and shows in how they handle the Florida parks.

As long as the Disneyland people are still located near Disneyland
