It's pretty insensitive to send it. Maybe they should check they lists for major dead celebrities and cancel their reservations?
How do we know the family decided to not cancel the reservation in order to honor him on his birthday? After all DLR appears have been one of his favorite places to go.

Because it is addressed to Kobe. I bet the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera was a favorite place of his too.
Are we actually sure it was addressed directly to him or to "The Family of"? Because that wasn't shown in the social media post from Vanessa where this pic came from. I'm just saying the family could have just simply decided not to cancel the reservation in order to honor him on his birthday. I don't find it insensitive at all a hand written note that the executive chef signed along with an actual meal was sent to the family, even if it had been addressed to him directly. Obviously Vanessa didn't find it insenstive either since she shared it on her social media feed with the public.

Club 33 also had to send out a lot of cancellations. That is why I wondering if it was a form letter or if the Chef is really writing notes to everyone. I don't think Kobe's family is the only one that got a meal sent to them.

So I made rum infused Dole Whips on my birthday and have been getting the itch to make another Disney dessert while I continue to quarantine since work and school are both online for me. I found a copycat recipe of the Oga's Obsession from the cantina and it has intrigued me ever since I saw it. It seems pretty dang simple to make once I get the ingredients together and I know they make the Rodian Ration alcoholic version but I think I would prefer the cotton candy / lemonade flavor of the non-alcoholic version, so I might try to make an alcoholic and non-alcoholic batch to see if it can taste as good or if I'll need to spend the money on another bottle of syrup for the Rodian Ration version. I figured I won't be in a Disney Park for the foreseeable future as I am going to wait til entertainment options and such return, so I found copycat recipes of Oga's Cantina and kinda want to try making a few over time but I figured this would be a fun place to start. I'll attach the link below if anyone is interested in the recipe, the whole site was fun to look through and have recreations of a ton of Disney drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. If I do end up making them I will definitely take pictures and post them here and maybe a picture of the actual Disney version to see how close I can get.

Has anyone else made Disney recipes at home over the past few months? I've also gotten the Mickey Ice Cream Bars too which are fun to eat while I browse the forums and play music loops from the park, usually Main Street, when I want to get my Disney fix. Now I just need to re order my POTC and HM candles and I can get the full experience!
