It’s a test for peak season when they’ll present a surprise 11:15 showing of Fantasmic some nights. The idea is to push the third show forward to 7:45 instead of having a late show. More dining packages would be an unintentional side effect, but it wasn’t the intention.

Maybe that would work for, say, Christmas, but in summer it's just barely dark at 9:00 when the first show begins. Who wants to see Fantasmic when it's not fully dark?

They already were doing the 11:15 third show at Christmas time. If they're going to do a third show, I don't understand why they wouldn't simply make the 11:15 a regular thing. The only reason to go earlier than 9 would be that more people will be in the park and it'll be easier to upsell more people after 7 than after 11.

Is the Toy Story lot still open to pedestrians? Some years ago I had a hotel near the convention center and would walk to the Toy Story bus and ride to the park. I'm looking to see if that is still possible.
