The Netflix "Lost in Space" reboot-- Does anyone actually want to see a serious take on that show? People remember it fondly for its campiness and the Will/Robot/Dr. Smith comedy! If this show doesn't have a giant talking carrot man and Space Hillbillies, I'm not interested!

The only reason I ever watched that show was for Dr. Smith. I wonder who will portray him in the new version.

I feel the same way when I watch 90's shows and think...this wouldn't have been a problem if someone just had a cell phone. But if that were the case, all shows would have lasted about a minute.

Whilst we're on this topic, any Lost in Space fans (or haters) should check out this wonderful, wonderful test reel/pitch for an unproduced ANIMATED Lost in Space series using the original archive voice tracks. Be sure to watch it all the way to the end; it keeps getting better (and fully animated) and ends with a hilarious go-go dancing update of the famous opening credit sequence.

I have wonderful memories of a trip to Florida where I went to the opening of Animal Kingdom and saw Lost In Space in theaters.

As good a time as any to bring this up:
Did anyone else get a "Lost in Space" TV theme vibe the first time they rode Space Mountain with the new Michael Giacchino score? And I mean that in the most positive way. I think Giacchino's music brought a welcome touch of whimsy and lightness to the ride's general feel. It's when the trumpets come in, mainly.
