TLJ > every other movie literally ever
Well, if by great you mean the movie that could conceivably be looked back on years from now as the film that began the unraveling and downfall of a once-great entertainment company... then, yeah, ya might have a point... :D

Looking around GE, I can say it is the best thing that came out of the Sequel Trilogy. Full stop. It’s got interactivity to it and a real sense of depth. I’ve looked for a Big Thunder Ranch tribute somewhere in the land and haven’t found one, though. Some part of me wants the Ashoka plush they have there.

It would really make those guys mad if Avengers End Game won best picture. It happen with Return of the King but that was made by independent filmmaker like them so it is ok.

Funny that Coppola is complaining about blockbusters since he and his apprentice George Lucas created them. I guess they liked the OT movies because they were independent movies made by one of them and not made by a large blood sucking mouse.

Superheroes flicks are shallow and not cinema. They're based off picture books for children designed to sell products with all the major characters owned by two massive corporate studios. They're not comparable to the westerns or stories based off classic literature or folk lore. They're not even a genre. They're glorified action movies at best and a waste of time at worst.

Loach, Coppola and Scorsese are just mad because no one buys their toys. Cry me a river, guys. Go out and get a "real" job like the rest of us. :D

Harsh, Troy. Movies are allowed to be nothing-but-fun popcorn flicks. I personally can't stand the Marvel films, but I'm not going to say the joy millions get from them is a bad thing.

Sometimes you need a mindless kids movie and sometimes you need to see something thought provoking and beautiful.
And sometimes magic happens and you get a thought provoking, beautiful kids movie for all ages like Spirited Away or How to Train Your Dragon... or a beautiful, thought-provoking film that *looks* like a kid's film but is purely for adults like "The Wind Rises."
(EDIT)
And sometimes you get a film for nobody, like "Mr. Nanny."

Definitely good stuff there. I'd rather watch any of those movies than anything from Marvel.
