I went to Gay Days wearing very dark colors and I was worried that people would think I was trying to make a statement. I just don't own any bright or red clothing.
If I'd been standing next to you in line in my shiny new bright red tee-shirt on Gay Days (did that once), I'd have been thinking "OK, I'm wearing the red because I'm supposed to be visible and I get why that is, but why can't I just dress in the muted tones I'm more comfortable in, like this guy next to me? Why does this still have to be a thing in the twenty-first century?
