At the park this evening for the first time in a few months. Indy, Mansion, Tiana, Rise, and Big Thunder are all “temporarily closed.” Small World is down for refurb. The poor Disneyland Railroad CMs are cramming people into the trains lol.

That kind of thing should never happen at a World Class Theme Park with the prices they charge. It makes you wonder about that section of the park's electrical grid.

The opposite happened to me one morning at rope drop. Basically everything on the east side of the park except for the Matterhorn was down at park open.

Naturally rides will go down on occasion or in worse cases multiple at once as you've described. I used to be more understanding when these things happened before the introduction of peak pricing. If they are selling me the fact that certain days are worth more than others I have an expectation of value for those premium days.

I just watched Mark Rober's tour of Walt Disney Imagineering on Youtube, and I came across this one segment that showed a model I've never seen before, from about the 4:13 to 5:34 Mark:

I was thinking about it either being a model for the Lion King flume ride, or Test Track, both of which the environment could make sense. Has anyone else seen this model before or have any guesses on what it could be?

There’s something about the tone of this promo video for Europa Park’s 50th that I really love. It flows, it’s pleasant, and it’s cheerful without sounding forced or theatrical.

It bounces around with a nice unpredictably, starting with the company’s first theatrical animated feature (and taking a moment to introduce the Mack family), before shifting to the film’s tie-in park attractions, then touching on everything from park shows and parades to tv shows, a blimp, comic books, art installations. employee apartments, new and remodeled resorts, philanthropic endeavors, music, new restaurants, waterpark expansion and seasonal events.

It manages to tie it all together to give a big picture of the park’s identity, with a confident tone that never gets too overhyped.

Nice promo, Europa Park! Funds well spent.

Now I’ve never been to Disneyland so take this with a big grain of salt but it looks like it may be outside the park gates. But again I’m very likely wrong.

I was getting front of the park vibes. Before you go through the entry tunnel but obviously the area would have had to have been modified since. Then again that looks like it might be berm behind us so I’m confused.
