For those wanting a plush of The Child -

Your local 'Build-a-Bear Workshop' location will have them available starting this Spring ( March or April release ).
It's a nicely made stuff-your-own....no pre-orders required!

Putting “Disneyland Resort” on merch only hurts sales. They can market it as Disneyland Resort on TV and radio but it doesn’t have to be on the merch.

I absolutely hate the "Disneyland Resort" brand being on everything. It dilutes Disneyland Park's identity, as well as California Adventure's.

Park and attraction specific merchandise needs to become the norm in most shops, except for the Emporium, World of Disney, and whatever DCA's equivalent is.

Disneyana should focus on Disneyland Park as well as high end artwork/figurines based on the films. No Funko Pops or similar merchandise should be sold there.

Off the Page shouldn't just be a knockoff Disneyana- it needs to sell DCA specific figurines and artwork, as well as high end Disney film stuff.

Each attraction gift shop exit should sell shirts, toys, artwork, and maybe a figurine that's attraction specific. Moreso than they already do.

The ever increasing amount of merchandise in the parks that looks straight out of your local mall's Disney store will end up hurting the brand in the long term. How many people here have some kind of Disneyland memento from their youth that they latched onto and adored? For me it was the 45 anniversary wall map my parents hung on my wall when I was a toddler. By making the merchandise increasingly 'generic' Disney (for lack of a better term), I'd expect long term sales to be hurt- and without quality and reasonably priced items that focus on Disneyland itself as a brand and something to be adored and respected, I wonder how the upcoming generation will approach the park 20 years from now.

Agree.

I do prefer my Disneyland memoribilia without the ' - Resort ' tacked on the end.
Yeah, I know ....it's the 'current branding' but the time has come to shed that and focus on the strengths of both Parks and their very seperate identities.

'Disneyland' branded items hold a lot more appeal....and not just from the nostalgia angle.
I remember my first couple of visits to Disneyland I wanted to find something without the 'Resort' branding in the Park and it was indeed challanging.

And the interesting part is they have zero benefit of putting “resort” on the merch. It turns people like us off but i would wager In however many years since they slapped “resort” on there not one person bought a piece of merch because of it. I get that they want to market Disneyland as a resort and they can continue to do that on TV / Radio but it’s completely unnecessary on the merch.

Does anyone here have any sites they like to use that look at merchandise? I'm getting a bit excited about a trip I have coming up, and had the urge to try and find photos/videos inside some of the shops, particularly Disneyana and Off the Page because I like looking at things I can't justify paying for, but my finds seem to lean a bit out of date. I'm probably just not particularly good at this, but I thought it was worth asking if anyone knew any good sites/youtube pages that show off things they add.

I typically don't spend a lot of time on social media these days, but once in a while i will do a quick 'disneyland merch' search on Instagram and hit the 'recent posts' tab.
Sometimes current photos of the more recent merchandise pop up.

I’ve seen Disneyland Personal Shoppers, where you can pay someone to purchase park merchandise for you, might try social media and YouTube searches for something like that.

Thank you both for the suggestions! Particularly the personal shopper idea. I didn't realize that was a thing, but just searching up that has yielded exactly what I'm looking for.
