The Jr. Chef has baked its last cookie...

Well, according to some on these boards, Nestle may be on their way out entirely due to certain of their beverages conflicting with similar Coca-Cola equivalents.

Thats pretty interesting - so maybe there is hope for the coffee situation at WDW afterall.

While I would love to see Nescafe disappear from the parks, it is sad to see Jr. Chef go. I work at the boatride seasonal and know it was incredibly popular for families with little ones. The cast was very enthusiastic with the kids, particularly a gentleman by the name of Kane who I think was permanently assigned there. Its sad to think it won't be there when I return. Nothing good lasts forever though...

The Jr. Chef Experience next to Sunshine Seasons in The Land at EPCOT closed on the 6th. I guess the contract for it with Nestle ran out. That space is supposedly going to become more seating.

 My daughter just got to do this for the first time last week!
She's gonna be upset too because she wanted to do it again next time we went.

If they get a contract with Dunkin Donuts then that area could double as an India pavilion as well! They need a good Indian restaurant anyway...

Is Kane the older gentleman with white hair? For the last couple of years my kids have participated in jr chef and he has always been there. I agree, he is a great CM.

Well-played, Chape19714. Well-played. *golf clap*

I had actually wandered in this thread to post that very self-same line, but alas was beaten to the punch.

Curses! Foiled again!

My kids did that years ago, and had a good time, we may still have the remains of a chef had around. I enjoyed sitting in the air-conditioning and just watching, it was a nice break for me and the wife.

aww, that is sad. I used to sit over near there because that section seemed to be the only one left with seats, and good seats. I used to enjoy seeing the little children have fun with that.

Coming from a person who lives in a state ( RI) that has one on almost every block, oh yes please!!!! Its sad to say that when I go to Disney I always bring a pound of dunkin coffee with me to make at my room for the morning!!!

We have done this many times. The only downside is having to keep track of those darn hats all day (and get them home ok). My family will def. miss this attraction. Nothing beats a free cookie and some free Beverly to wash it down!

btw Kane did a fantastic job with those kids......there were a few times I thought "wow, how does he keep his cool?" with out of control kids and oblivious parents.

I can see it now:rolleyes:....

[Revised Living with the Land finale]

Rachel Ray: "Around the globe, scientists and bakers from Dunkin Donuts are dedicated to improving the quality and taste of the coffee and breakfast sandwiches that the world enjoys and relies on. Working together we can continue to find innovative ways to increase doughnut production and protect our precious natural environment. Only then can we truly ensure that America runs on Dunkin."

Oh God, I can only hope this would cause a total revamp of the attraction. Maybe then we wouldn't have boats sinking/getting stuck. Sigh...
