The Jr. Chef has baked its last cookie...

Aww shame the cookie place is gone, it looked like a fun thing for kids.

Also a shame it's just becoming seating, though I can sort of understand this, the land can be really busy at lunch and considering the amount of people Soarin pulls into that pavillion I can understand the need for extra seating

This is a bummer! What a great break for the kids. They also got a chance to learn about teamwork, sharing, cooking and eating cookies. I know someone in my house that will be very upset. I do find it hard to believe that they will add more seating there since that area is really small and the lower exit for CoL is right there. The crowds that come out that door can be quite large at the end of the movie. If they add seats it probably won't be very many.

[Revised Living with the Land finale]

Rachel Ray: "Around the globe, scientists and bakers from Dunkin Donuts are dedicated to improving the quality and taste of the coffee and breakfast sandwiches that the world enjoys and relies on. Working together we can continue to find innovative ways to increase doughnut production and protect our precious natural environment. Only then can we truly ensure that America runs on Dunkin."

Well-played, Magicot. Well-played. *golf clap*

(Ye Gads! Two brkgnews golf claps in a single thread? That's gotta be a record!) :lookaroun

Is Kane the older gentleman with white hair? For the last couple of years my kids have participated in jr chef and he has always been there. I agree, he is a great CM.

Funny, when I worked at the Land in the days pre-Soarin', Kane was there working Jr. Chef...I guess he was something of a permanent fixture to the pavilion. Wonder what will become of him. I agree the cast for the show was good with the kids (at least the cast that I remember from my days there).

You should be a bit more selective when handing out golf claps.

But, Magicot deserves it. But don't take mine away!

I sure someone keeps a copy of the cookie recipie that they sell at Seasons if they do pull out. Im not sure what I will replace it with as my must have of every trip.

Just curious, why didn't they try to renew the contract? I thought Disney was trying to keep their sponsors, not lose them. This is a sad loss.

How do we know that Nestle isn't pulling out? Many corporations are looking all over for ways to tighten their belts. I can't see Disney pushing a company like Nestle away. Maybe Nestle has just stopped sponsering Jr Chef and everything else will be the same as always.

Anyone know if the 'What Cookie Are You' personality test kiosks are leaving as well?

If there is more seating being added, without a doubt, it'll go to Winter. That season has the smallest seating area of the four.

That was my first reaction!!!!
Coming from a person who lives in a state ( RI) that has one on almost every block, oh yes please!!!! Its sad to say that when I go to Disney I always bring a pound of dunkin coffee with me to make at my room for the morning!!!

Last time I was in RI they had this Dunkin Donuts knock-off called Bes Eatin (I think that was the name) and that was horrible :hurl:! We could find a DD anywhere around the Jamestown area up and down Rt1. Very depressing mornings.

Maybe instead of Dunkin Donuts they will have Tim Horton's, Mrs Field's, Starbuck's or Subway (Eat Fresh).

Since the thread's drifting anyway....

WDW needs a cafteria type restaurant somewhere, like a Luby's or Morrison's, or whatever they are in various parts of the country.

I think it would be popular to go down a serving line, see and select the food, and also have the variety of veggies available.

IMHO, of course.

How about Chef Mickey's, Boma, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Biergarten, Hollywood and Vine, Tuskerhouse or Cape May Cafe. All of these buffet's you get a plate and line up and pick the food you want just like a cafeteria. The only differance is that your drinks are brought to you and some have Disney characters.
