A little update on a Personal Imagineering Project I've been up to...

I'm having another go at DisneySky!

Anaheim's third gate. It's not substantially different from my old version, but expect something much, much more fine-tuned.

The finalized write-up likely won't be appearing for months upon months, because I have huge ambitions for this proposal. The centerpiece hand drawn map will be to-scale with the layout above, plus there will be additional multitudes of illustrations for every land and attraction. Expect complete write-ups for every ride, shop, restaurant, plus minor things like restrooms, churro carts, even drinking fountains. Presently I have a 100-page-long "Project Bible," my detailed notes for every aspect of DisneySky.

It appears that the new show will indeed be based on Disney Animation.

This original show will be created by Cirque du Soleil and will pay homage to Disney’s rich history of animation, with a vivid story told in a way that only Cirque du Soleil can deliver. Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, elaborated, sharing “We are incredibly inspired by Disney’s immense creative universe. We are convinced that bringing Disney’s magic to life on stage will touch audiences and bring them back to their childhood.”

No opening date has been announced.

Also a new Cirque show was announced today to replace the current show at Disney Springs. However there is no opening date yet.

They actually did a good job with that (apolitical and all) at least people were respectful and clapped in the video. I always loved the Hall of Presidents, such a unique show

That being said the face looks like Hillary Clinton a bit...almost like they pre-molded her before the election last year and then repurposed it for Trump. The motions were spot on though...but his hands are yuge

Now this is the pinnacle of news, and combined with today's other happenings in the Disney World, it's official: Disney's 12 Days of Christmas was obviously extended to today, right? To go out with four announcements, no?

Nevermind let's talk about how they extended the Food and Wine Festival at DCA for a couple more days instead

When you thought there was no more news for Disney, but you were wrong.

So how many of you are planning to visit Disney, and are on the fence on whether or not you were going to stay onsite. Well if the only benefit you wanted for the 60 day fastpass window, you're in luck! Through the travel agents website it has been announced that starting January 10th select Good Neighbour hotels will be receiving this perk. The following hotels are receiving the perk:

• B Resort & Spa;
• Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort;
• DoubleTree Guest Suites by Hilton Orlando;
• Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Palace;
• Hilton Orlando Resort Lake Buena Vista;
• Holiday Inn Orlando;
• Wyndham Lake Buena Vista;
• Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista

This will be offered from January 10th, 2018 till December 31st 2018. If you have a package currently booked at any of these hotels you may link your reservation starting January 10th. Thanks @TJ Vazquez for bringing this up to light.

This is still better than at least a third of the announcements during the 12 Days of Christmas. Like the hard ticket Moana event at Aulani.
