I loved TLJ; the character development, symbolism, cinematography, unpredictability, and especially the production design were awesome.Lol. I meant I completely disagreed with your assessment. I thought Poe and Rey’s character development was outstanding. They really made Poe into a someone who could be a leader for the rebellion and made Rey into a great hero. I also thought that Finn’s development as a soldier was great. He went from somewhat cowardly (trying to get off the ship) to be willing to sacrifice himself for the rebellion. While I was a bit underwhelmed by the Snoke reveal (or lack thereof), I feel he will definitely be expanded upon in spin-off films; similar to how Palpatine was expanded on in the Prequels.
and I really liked what Johnson did with all of the characters fleshed out in TLJ from TFA.
overrated
I still haven’t seen either of themSolo was disappointing, and Incredibles 2 was good but still overrated.
Spoiler follows & IMO lol
You call Snoke and Phasmas’ characters “fleshed out”?
It’s not just your opinion. That’s just the reality of the situation.Rose was annoying, but she did help Finn grow, but I still think it was a mistake to have her in the way they did.
Definitely, agree. Despite not being an alien, her character was nearly as bad as Jar Jar Binks IMO, but I still think it didn't sink the film too much. It’s not just your opinion. That’s just the reality of the situation. Her character creates such a mood whiplash never seen in SW, where she switches from being sad and depressed when we first see her, to being enthusiastic and fangirling over Finn, then it continues on we see more of her. But by far the worst part of her was when she rammed into Finn’s skidder just as he’s prepared to sacrifice her, telling him “We don’t win by fighting what we hate. We do it by fighting for what we love.” And then kisses him while the First Order’s cannon fires on the door, and keep in mind she didn’t know Luke was coming, so yeah, she not only deliberately doomed the Resistance her sister died to protect by letting the FO win; contradicting her philosophy; but she also did it as part of a romantic subplot that had no place within the story and ate up more screen time than it should’ve. But despite that, Rose is no where as near as the worst SW character as Admiral Gender Studies.
I enjoyed that movie, though not as much as the first one. I wish they had kept that second idea pitch of the script where superheroes were brought back as show business like Cops or a game show, as a commentary on media perception and the superhero genre of today; instead of combining that plot with an earlier pitch on A.I..Have you seen Incredibles 2? Would love to hear your opinion on that
As crazy as @MisterPenguin fireworks theater idea might be, don't know that I will purposely stay for fireworks at MK again. Done it many times over the years but after a day or days dealing with crowds there and then that. Just ugh.
I was this close to including a fireworks viewing area as a part of Progress Avenue in my final project for Sorcerer's Apprentice with a small stadium style seating area. Nothing major, but enough to help. But I didn't have enough time to explain it properly. Plus it was inspired by your write up anyways lol.People judging my ideas as crazy is something I get a lot.
That all changes once they see the implementation.
I read that a lot of good ideas had to be tossed because they pushed up the production a year. Makes me still kind of excited for Incredibles 3 someday because it could be really good.I enjoyed that movie, though not as much as the first one. AK has really grown on me. Ever since Lion King moved it in my eyes has been a superb park. It only keeps getting better. A good spot for viewing HEA and to see it with little crowds is at the New Fantasyland Gates outside Pinocchio's.JUst getting home from 11 days in OTown, and since I don't think I'll be able to knock out the rest of a competent write up for Hollywood Falls, some slightly Imagineering musings from my trip
MK
Ugh. Easily the most laborious part of my trip.

No riverboat running and only 1 train. :/
So sick of TL dance parties
I'm ok keeping Buzz in TL, but really wish they'd update it somehow so you could actually see what you are doing
SM felt as rough as ever. Chiro here I come.
muppets at the HOP gets a thumbs up.
HS
Some day, they'll stop putting a freaking stage in front of that beautiful theater
Even as painful as it was with no GMR, I still love walking around HS
Hope they find a way to keep Indy. I still dig it, it packs a crowd. Just update a little.
Epcot
15 min wait in Mexico. Hmmm.
TT still good, but Nemo without a working chase scene is even worse than usual.
FEA is growing on me if she not a little.
WS stilll keeps me loving this park. Just add a country already.
I'm not worried about the crowds at the IG, but geez I think the gondola is going to ruin a great view.
I will be very interested to see how the GOTG and Rat show buildings look at ground level when finished.
AK
Saw ROL for the first time. Finally. Not ashamed to say I like it, especially for this park.
FOP still good, though I was at the end and didn't get quite the kind immersion.
Yes dinoland is weird here, but sure looks better and more fun at night.
What happened to the pile of BBQ on my sandwich at Flametree!??!
Did Tusker House for the first time and enjoyed it. Still liking my strategy of going at the end of breakfast for these character meals. Have gotten 2 rounds of meets every time going that. Plus got to sample lunch too.
Call me crazy, but as much as I like KS, I miss the story angle still.
For my money, don't know that any of the other 3 parks will ever match AK night or day. If they would add another land with 2-3 solid attractions, no way.
BW resort
First actual stay here after being around it many many times and at nearby resorts. Just love being able to chill early in the am or late at night on the water.
From a new hotel at the park entrance???People judging my ideas as crazy is something I get a lot.
That all changes once they see the implementation.
The overcrowding issue would be solved if Epcot became EPCOT Center again and competed with the MK.I was this close to including a fireworks viewing area as a part of Progress Avenue in my final project for Sorcerer's Apprentice with a small stadium style seating area. There's a lot of practicality concerns with adding seating areas, but something needs to be done about overcrowding in Magic. Especially with the fireworks
That used to be my absolute favorite spot to watch Wishes! Absolutely magical feeling surrounded by fireworks! But watching Happily Ever After there, you miss the projections and Tinkerbell. And that's like half the show.AK has really grown on me. Ever since Lion King moved it in my eyes has been a superb park. It only keeps getting better. A good spot for viewing HEA and to see it with little crowds is at the New Fantasyland Gates outside Pinocchio's.

I think instead of I:3, they should do a tv series as Pixar’s equivalent to Batman: The Animated Series; at least first.I read that a lot of good ideas had to be tossed because they pushed up the production a year. I agree! I've been saying they should do an Incredibles TV series for 14 years now lolI think instead of I3, they should do a tv series as Pixar’s equivalent to Batman: The Animated Series; at least first.
Well if DC released some of their animated series within the same time as some of their older shows in late 90s and early 2000s than so can Disney; or more specifically Pixar. But with Big Hero 6 just starting, they probably wouldn't want to do an Incredibles show for
a few years.
Personally, I think the difference would be that these are entirely different superhero shows with family as a major theme. Where all the DC shows served more as spin offs of each other.Well if DC released some of their animated series within the same time as some of their older shows in late 90s and early 2000s than so can Disney; or more specifically Pixar.
