Tarzan’s Jungle Adventure Meet and Greet

First, we redo the Swiss Family Treehouse, turning it into an essential replica of DL’s Tarzan’s Treehouse. These have always been advertised as an elaborate queue with no attraction at the end. Well now the attraction is this immersive one-of-a-kind meet and greet

Story

This is Tarzan’s treehouse! Of course you’re going to meet him and all of his jungle friends here. If the characters are at their meet and greet spot, then the sign out front will say Tarzan is home, and if not it will say Tarzan is out with Jane/Terk/Tantor

Theme

Back to ground level after exploring Tarzan’s treehouse you will be walking along a walkway completely enclosed by jungle greens and overflow. The path forks, one leading to the exit, one to our new meet and greet (obviously marked). Taking the left path to our new meet and greet area you will continue to feel lost among jungle greens when you come upon a large square area covered by the canopy of trees, surrounded by shrubs, trees and greens. Here in the background of where the characters stand there will be a small creek running through with Tantor the Elephant as a set piece AA spewing water out of his trunk whenever guests are near (for perfect photo-ops). While in this area you will feel like you are in the center of the jungle no feeling of being in the middle of the magic kingdom. Excessive and exaggerated vines hanging down are a must.

Characters

The characters present will be the convenient to photograph with Tantor, real life characters of Tarzan, Jane, and Professor Porter. With Tarzan and Jane swinging in on vines of course. There will also be a fur character of Terk also swinging in as any gorilla would do.

Aerial view (how things will work space-wise) - http://forums.wdwmagic.com/picture.php?albumid=755&pictureid=8686 (the new creek is what holds tantor and adds to the overall atmosphere)

Jasonflz... thanks for that... i knew she said something, but i really didnt understand what she meant by that so i wanted her to clarify... So she will be immune for this one... :( So once again judges, the listings have changed... NOW it is 8 to 1 .... ANd if she does not participate in the next one, she WILL be ELIMINATED... :(

THanks unkabug for the helping...

WOW not gonna lie almost forgot to turn it in...my idea is done that would have ticked me off!
Anyways here it is!

Pieces o' Eight Meet and Greet

Location:

Pirates of the Carribean attraction

Story:

(this is what the view from the boardwalk would sort of look like)

Guests will walk down to an area within the actual Pirates of the Carribean loading area. The imagineers have extended the loading area much like Disneyland’s attraction but instead of containing a resturaunt such as the Blue Bayou. Disney World’s will contain a smaller version of Shipwreck Cove. Guests will walk down some cave like stairs emerging on a boardwalk overlooking the Pirates loading area. There will be three different rooms located in the buildings of Shipwreck Cove. Three of the main pirate kings are available to meet the guests within the “meeting room shown in the Movie At Worlds End.

(Overview of Shipwreck Cove from the movie)

Characters:

Guests will be able to meet with the following characters:
Elizabeth Swann
Jack Sparrow
Barbossa
Each of the characters will be giving out “”their Pieces of Eight to the guests who come to visit them.

(Captain Jack Sparrow)

Backdrop

The pictures will be taken in the meeting room where they decided the course of action in POTC: At World’s End. Some possible props include the Pirate Code book. The chairs that some sat in.

As the guests’ walk down the boardwalk there is a tattered rope fence protecting them from falling off the side. They can see over the small lagoon the dimly lit loading area and the boats leaving. As they walk they look over and realize the buildings are actually made of old shipwrecks. And as they enter into the greeting room they are able to choose which ones they want to see and take pictures with. There will be a castmember that controls how many are let into the greeting room at a time ala the Princess meet and greet in Toontown fair.

(This is what the room/backdrop would be)

Castmembers:

The Castmembers that work this attraction will be dressed as a pirate. Tattered clothing with possible eye patch. Pirates of the Carribean Cast members will be outfitted in the same outfits as well to provide continuity.

Tie in to Adventureland:

Disney would utilize this plan to coincide with the release of POTC 4 in 2011 or 2012. It obviously fulfills the theme of Adventureland and it’s neighboring Pirates of the Carribean. This attraction would be on a scale of Pixie Hollow but much more indepth. Providing [people a Highly themed alternative to fairys and princesses.

Thank you for your time

We really need to get it fixed so we can post images within posts. Let's get this done.

I only have 4 projects... i think that is sad... i thought you all were so excited with playing this...

I still need: cmwade77, TrevorA, KP25701 and Missing20K.... if you are more than 3 days late, you will be ELIMINATED.... and for everyday up to 3 days you will be minused a point per day...

EDIT: REMINDER.. We the judges cant give you scores untill all projects are turned in or past the three day mark.. then then inturn delays the release of the next project which then shortens the amount of time you have to work on it....

But judges... YOU CAN Start making comments on the 4 that we have... you just cant rank them... as of now... we have 4 of 8 projects so when you rank if all 8 turn in projects they will be ranked... If someone(people) dont turn in projects the rankings will lower... and most likely there will be no need to rank b/c we have eliminated someone... (I hope everyone understands this) :) :)

Whoops, I forgot to post my project last night. Wow, that kinda makes me mad...

Anyways, here goes nothing:

Adventure Outpost:

Our journey begins across from the Treehouse once belonging to the Swiss Family Robinson, in an abandoned South Seas eatery. When the Magic Kingdom opened, The Adventureland Veranda was featured on the restaurant list, and had been ever since. That is, until 1998. Since then, nobody dares to enter the establishment, for fear of what lay inside. And rightfully so, because we all know of the capacity that Walt Disney World has for the terrifying and weird. Recently, the building has been known to be giving off quite a bit of noise during the day, and all hours of the night. Today, we take a trip inside the old Veranda, at least to try and figure out what (or who) is making all the racket.

The Queue:

http://www.disneypix.com/MagicKingdom/Adventureland/2004c/AL1104-38.htm

We enter the African-colonial style building, and a smooth gust of artificial wind splashes onto our faces from above. As the restaurant opens up in front of us, we take note of many similarities to the original eatery. In fact, the Veranda looks almost exactly like it did in the nineties. Only one thing is different, however. While we wind our way through the zig-zag of the queue, we see crates upon crates stacked from floor to ceiling, each with dissimilar labeling. Tables and chairs have been pushed to the side, and it appears that we are strolling through an Adventureland storage facility.

The Meet and Greet:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2356/1794973656_8ca879b18a.jpg?v=0

We round the last bend in the furniture fortress, and a smile begins to crack onto our faces. "I think I figured out who was making all the noise," you say. I pause for a second, desperately trying to stifle an ingeniously sarcastic comment. It seems our old friends from The Jungle Book have stopped by for a visit. Baloo, Mowgli, King Louie, and Colonel Hathi are poised, waiting to pose for a picture or two. Behind the characters, a backdrop (poorly painted, if I do say so myself) of a jungle makes for an almost perfect experience. The only thing missing would be some wisecracking vultures, ones that remind us of a certain group of British musicians. And, I'll be darned, there they are. Up on the chandeliers, ready to interact with passing guests.

Schedule:

According to the characters meeting during the day, the backdrop and unmeetable characters will change accordingly.

Weekly Schedule:

Monday: The Jungle Book
---A: Baloo
---B: King Louie
---C: Mowgli
---D: Colonel Hathi

1:00-1:30: Character A & Character B
3:00-3:45: Character A-D
5:00-5:45: Character A-D

(Character E is the non-meetable character)

I'm terribly sorry for being late. I'll accept the consequences, and it won't happen again.

---TrevorA

PS: If anybody knows who that guy in the Jungle Book picture is, tell him that I'm just using his photo for the characters.

Ok... Judges and Contestants... I have come to the decision that we will start judging the 5 projects we have... TrevorA, Jasonflz, wdwbeepbop, Sassagoula-Rvr, and comics101... (we will rank and comment)...

NO ONE from those 5 will be ELIMINATED... we will just rank comment, and just test how you all did and such... Rank from 5 to 1 If you could please send me the results by Thursday Morning AT LATEST that would be great thanks.. :) :)

The three who still havent turned in a project: cmwade77, KP25701, and Missing20K if they turn in a project will be up for elimination, if no, they will ALL be ELIMINATED...

Have no fear though... I have at least one replacement, and waiting for a second one... (I have disneyman82 confrimed and waiting on mharrington)...

So here are the offical list for Project 2 competitiors:
-TrevorA
-Jasonflz
-magicmaya (was immune this time, must do p2 or will be eliminated)
-wdwbeepbop
-Sassagoula-Rvr(will be immune due to vacation, will return for P3)
-comics101
--Replacements
-WDWVacationer (replacement for Oathkeeper)
-mharrington (waiting for reply, so maybe not... Replacement 4 jedimaster)
-disneyman82 (replacement for one of the ones who havent turned in project...)

So for P2 we have at least 8 ppl, with maybe 9 (includes mharrington)...

P2 will be posted tomorrow or later today... :).. I hope you all understand and enjoy...

I'm not sure, but I think Missing20k already posted that they would rather help judge because they were not able to commit the time that a contestant must commit.
