Great work figmntal!

Nice write up too!
and if you want to create a backstory...I don't think anyone has yet...so please feel free
Very nice! Great job on both dining locations.:sohappy:Gladiator Pizza:

The inside of the restauraunt is supported by massive columns holding a wood "thatched" roof. At the far end of the restauraunt is a massive stone brick pizza oven. Lights dimly illuminate the massive interior while the fresh aromas of tomatoes, pepperoni, and fresh cook dough waft through the room. There also is a salad bar included. The menu is primarily pizza with a small choice of selections on the list.
Menu: (from breakfast to dinner)

The lobby and exterior building of the DVC

I. As you enter the two story lobby area...everything is elegant Old Rome, white marble, with columns and gold leaf, Giving you the feeling that you stepped back in time to medieval Italy. The carpet is plush and blue with gold filagree designs, with mosaic tiles surrounding it.
Behind the front desk is a mosaic mural depicting Mickey and friends in Roman garb.
II. A massive restaurant with a large two level patio overlooking Bay Lake.
The restaurant is called Trastevere and features Italian Fusion cuisine. A modern spin on classic Italian dishes.
Some examples would include mussels with champagne marinara sauce and a signature dish of Penne Rampa with guyere and truffles.
Right next door is a small Italian coffee ba, featuring traditional drinks..
III. Here you will find an elegant indoor-outdoor pool modeled after the Roman baths. This is also where the Spa is located.
the spa is called Mithras Spa(the Roman God of Light) and includes the usual signature services of facials and massages (sports, couples, deep tissue)
The Spa baths are set up as small roman domed temples...each featuring a different kind of bath...from hot jacuzzi to cold baths.
The Dome's mosaic decor and Roman statuary add to the Old Roman opulence. Marble statues of Muses pour water into the small pools.

IV. A small bar area in the middle of the massive rock work in the middle of the super-sized pool. The bar is inside a small dome that looks like this:

V. The DVC pool area is surrounded by elegant marble railings upon which the villas are elevated on.
Pool di Nettuno, or Neptune's Pool, is themed to a large Roman bath, fit for Neptune.
Roman Bath Example: http://www.myenglandtravel.com/images/bath/RomanBath.jpg
Collapsed temple ruins will surround the pool.
Like this: http://www.publishyouropinion.com/Roman temple 1.jpg
At the end of the pool, two large trident statues will mark the entrance into a scaled-down version of the Colosseum, which boasts 3 waterslides. One waterslide is the tallest and most thrilling, the second being it's "sidekick" (similar to the slide next to Summit Plummet), and the third being aimed at little kids. From outside the coliseum, guests will be unable to see the actual slides (except for their final exits into the pool), so as not to topple the whole ambiance of the area.

A large statue of Neptune will sit at the other end of the pool, and will act as sort of a thing to climb on while in the pool.

Wide waterfalls will be placed on each side of the pool, flowing from the temple ruins. The waterfalls' water will be delivered by acqueduct down the ruined stone walls. This in turn creates small alcoves on each side to sit behind the waterfalls.
Waterfall, with alcove (I want something like this, but replace the rocks with the stone temple ruins and you've got it) :http://www.naturalspringspools.com/waterfalls_pool_spa_radke_3.JPG

VI. The recreational venue that is modeled to look like a Roman temple, similar to this: http://www.sluicerobber.com/France/FranceImages/NimesRomanTemple.jpg
It is more pristine and pretty with glass windows in between the columns.
Inside this area is the Gladiator Dinner Theatre. A small arena surrounded by tables that serves a family style meal of pizza and pastas.
The show is mostly the slapstick antics of comic warriors...hosted by a fat emperor, who adds to the hijinks by acting a little over zealous, with the whole thumb thing. He judges each character, with yays and nays from the audience. Each section of the crowd has their own "champion"
http://forums.wdwmagic.com/picture.php?albumid=971&pictureid=13316
the actors (gladiators) play it for laughs. Some of them act as animals (in a skin) and other very bad warriors with fake weapons, etc (think wooden, or even just sticks! ) they will over exaggerate:
the guy in a tiger outfit: meow, meow, (swipe claw)
warrior: ow, you scratched me!
They participate in silly action sequences, and stunts against each other. There are also other traditional games like chariot racing with hobby horses... to the hilarity of the audience.
it will take place always at night (in show) the sky will have HD projectd stars in roman constellations, and weather. the constellations will sometimes come to life and interact with each other, via and materialization of the character. They may even react to the show.
Also in this area is a small Gymnasium and Health Club center, as well as a Italian wine tasting bar called Veni Vidi Vino (I came, I saw, I drank wine)
VII. A garden/play area.

a few three bedroom villas, and one two story Deluxe Villa.
They circle the pool area, and surrounding landscape with two and three floor buildings in the Roman style (with three story columns rising on the outside) Each has it's own balcony. There are 28 villas altogether in seven buildings.
Go for it. At this point, any help is appreciated. I will do the lobby, but if you can do anything else, yes PLEASE!I'm not on your team... but can I help anyway?
Thanks!I WAS HERE ALL ALONG. Just completing my bit, sorry If I'm late and I'd like to contribute to something else seeing as my part was quite small!!
The lobby at Disney’s DolceVita Resort Hotel is as luxurious as you would imagine any royal Ancient Roman building to be. As you enter, the most prominent feature of the lobby is the majestic golden fountain in the center, featuring an ensemble of Roman Gods statues in classic Roman style, spouting water. ‘The Fountain Of Gods’ is a dedication to the Gods that the people of Ancient Rome. The floor is completely marble and looking up the roof is a huge dome such as in the Pantheon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pantheon-panini.jpg.
From the entrance, to the right is the reception desk and to the left is a wide marble staircase with golden banisters leading upstairs. http://www.state.sd.us/STATE/CAPITOL/CAPITOL/TOUR/images/Stairs2.jpg
The reception desk, like everything else, is made of marble and the staff will wear suitable Roman attire such as white robes and togas. Behind the desk is a mosaic of the Colosseum in Rome- see if you can spot the Hidden Mickeys.
The whole lobby is decorated with supporting pillars and various Roman statues of famous Romans and Gods, designed by the legendary sculpture- wait for it- Mickeyangelo. Each statue has an inscription below it such as: Julius Caesar (Veni! Vidi Vici!), Descartes (I think therefore I am), Cicero (The beginnings of all things are small), Horace (Seize the day). Other decorations include green plants and large items of pottery. With all the decor it will look similar to this: PIC.
Located directly to the left of you when you stand at the entrance is a hotel shop, Caesar’s Court. This sells general Disney merchandise as well as resort specific items.
Also in the lobby is access to the main hotel restaurant and disguised lifts to take guests up to their rooms.
I was hoping for more detail from him....but I guess I'll just say what he said...Is it just layout and feature left? Didn't Fractal say that the feature was aqueducts?
Oh and BTW, just wondering, is Florida five hours behind GMT. Which would mean it is 7.30 now? Because I really do need to learn that time difference so I know when the deadline is.
^ WDW Vacationer, that's probably just a typo, but it's Dolce Vita
