EA has lost big money and SWBFII sales were disappointing over Black Friday.

Not at the moment. I'm having wayyyyy too much fun playing the actual game. Oh, and also shifting some of my holdings over to EA stock, which is going to continue it's meteoric rise in spite of the 1% of gamers having a circle jerk fit right now, LOL. This is easily going to end up the bestselling game of the year.

Poetic justice

"Poetic Justice", definition: "the fact of experiencing a fitting or deserved retribution for one's actions."

So, I deserve real-world financial retribution for having a differing opinion from you. Got ya. How very SJW of you (I mean, you even used the word "justice", so no denying it this time).

This, along with the fact that your first impulse was to come here and say such a thing, revel in your perception of my possible financial loss, and use a cartoon character meme of all things, is why you have unfortunately proven yourself so almost unspeakably immature when it comes to the topic of videogames. I used to give you credit for being a mature young man, but something about this topic just brings out the worst in you.

I think you will find the year-end results after the holiday season will reflect my previous statements. That said, I'm not gong to allow you to drag me into this discussion again so you can use me to keep your thread alive, just so you can spout the talking points you have read from other people about a game you haven't played on systems you do not even own.

No. I refuse to believe it! I was told by industry experts on this site that it would be the "best selling game of the year". I even changed my entire portfolio to EA stock based on insider information. Please stop trolling and posting these hard facts and figures you SJW.

Not in a difference of opinion, but in the snark you presented in that post saying how we were all just an angry circle jerking 1% minority and how absolutely wrong you’ve been proven.

You could at the very least own up to it.

Probably totally off topic (and possibly off of anything to do with this thread) but I saw Gaming Industy and thought of this.

So, the kinda new LoZ: Breath of the Wild: Cool concept but the hubs says it lacks big time. I asked him why because the graphics were amazing and the 'open-world' concept was cool. Cool? At first. He says he misses what the older LoZs had which were main temples (a.k.a. The Water Temple, etc.) I get that.

Recently, I talked him into buying the Switch.

[Side Note: I don't play video games, but I absolutely love watching people play games. It's relaxing to me (I'm weird, I know.)]

So he bought the Switch and the new Mario. Same problem. Cool Concept, but what about main Castles/Temples?

What do you guys think on this? Is this something Nintendo is going to keep going with?

I gotten sick of the same old mario formula, it's about time mario had something different.
as for zelda, I got bored with breath of the wild. sorry to fans of that game, but I feel mario was way more engaging. maybe it was the collectables and cool locations?

More Battlefront 2 news. EA says it didn't follow Overwatch with cosmetic loot boxes because that wouldn't be canon.

I agree a bit as well. Besides new mechanics the games played out similarly. Both Mario and Zelda were a fresh breath for Nintendo and shows they still have those creative juices flowing even after X amount of sequels.

I agree with Zelda. The dungeons were lacking big time except Hyrule Castle. For me though the open world more than made up for it but I still hope the new DLC dungeon is based on the Castle rather than another divine beast.

For Mario it gave me everything I could ask for from a new game in the style of 64 and Galaxy. It could’ve been a bit less easy and I still prefer the Galaxy style but a great game nonetheless.

Right now I’m going back to DOOM after having just finished Metroid on 3DS. That last one was soooooooo good and challenging even on “normal” difficulty. Great swan song for my 3DS

And yet when it comes to the hero characters you can have Darth Vader and Kylo Ren appear in the same battle.

There’s a reason these franchises still go on after 30+ years while a previous big title like Halo fades as more time goes on. I think Grand Theft Auto may be one of the only other franchises that will last as long and remain popular for that time.

According to EA people don’t like linear single player games anymore and is definitely a reason they shut down Visceral.

Have they completely ignored success stories like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon, Zelda, and Mario? The Star Wars game Visceral was working on was even being directed by a previous director of Uncharted. This game would’ve been a gold mine.

I feel no sympathy for them losing $3.1 Billion in value. In a way it’s pretty fitting. They went all in on monetizing a big multiplayer game and still lost money lol.

It's because EA doesn't know how to tell a good story anymore, or care to craft a story that is longer than 5 hours. They need to get better writing teams for their studios if they want to make a compelling story.

I think given the chance the devs would love to do it. It’s EA that prevents them.

Speaking of Metroid, (*cough cough* aside from the devastation that was Other M), do you think that they will come back strong with the next Prime?
