The future of theme parks...

By "people" you are referring to the hyper critical groupthink of this board which does not represent the millions of people who continue to go to WDW and enjoy what the place has to offer. Man, this thread sure hit too close to home for the Uni fanboys on here.
Wow. How to make friends. I didn't know whether to laugh, think what an idiot, or feel insulted.

You posted it where it had no place and was designed to get attention and anger because ... well, it's a lot of BS, which you are entitled to believe ... but if were in the Imagineering board or Chit-Chat where it belongs, you wouldn't have anyone to play with. That is what a troll does.

Holy (blank), DLR can't come soon enough for me!

No, it was my opinion. You're a very angry person. I suggest you take a break from this Disney fan site if you simply can't stand that anyone has a positive view of Disney.

Also, as you can tell, my posts have a MUCH higher "like" percentage than yours. I represent the silent majority on this site that can't stand people like you who's only contributions to this site are to spread negativity and anger. You need a new hobby bro.

Kind of like America, this site is pretty much split down the middle between the pixie duster vs. Doom and gloomers. I'm sure the general WDW crowd would be more pixie dust scewed but (not to sound elitist) the people on fansites are generally more active and knowledgable about the going ons of the Disney universe.

And as far as "like" percentages. You know we only had the option for a few months. With '74s 1300+ likes in that time, I would estimate that would be an almost 1:1 ratio.

Dill pickle flavor popcorn? I would love to try that. Maybe by the time it makes its way to Orlando it will be a nextgen interactive meet and greet experience to buy it! They can close down another E ticket attraction for EMH and give us that. I can't wait for the future!

LOL, your post took a nose dive at the end! Let's hope that doesn't happen!

That's because people don't like the truth...I've played the Sorcers game once, my kids (14 and 10...you know, so you know I'm not some 20 year old wanna be sitting in my underwear in my mom's basement where I live and play video games all day...) got extremely bored with it very quickly. Interactive ques? Nice, but not a reason to do to a theme park...I mean, what if the ride at the end of said que is worthless...think people will say "what a nice que"??? Um...no. They'll say "That ride was a waste of time."

Yep. The interactive queues and other nonsense are a crutch to try and cover up that there is little of true substance being added.

True...totally agree.

A lot of posts and threads on this site lately feel like an attempt to smear posters and threads that take a critical lens to the changes in WDW. This is very alarming. From loading a critical thread with OT posts to derail it and discourage casual followers from thinking about their points, to blatantly attacking people who have critical views of TDO, I am starting to lose patience with some users on this site...

I could be mistaken, but I think most Uni fanboys are currently too busy watching their favorite parks build multiple E-tickets at once to be bothered by your opinions on meet and greets and video game queues.

I think it will be the marrying of the two that we will see. As park goers want more interaction with their favorite movies there will have to be more immersive experiences. I for one am quite excited to see both the FLE and HPworld (I know it's sad that I live 4 hours away and have not yet been!). For those of us with small children, they do love it. There does also need to be rides to draw people into these new "lands." I hope theme parks continue to evolve this way.

Welcome to the boards, Mr. Mongello!

That made me laugh out loud on the quiet floor of the library. haha

anyway, I agree the games and the other experiences are neat, but there has to be exciting E-tickets too. We all love "the little Disney touches", but we also like unique and exciting rides. People come down so hard on Universal's rides with screens like Spiderman, but love rides like Toy Story Midway Mania. I think Spiderman is a pretty cool attraction, it has a decent preshow, uses some neat technology, and is overall a pretty entertaining ride. I'm more likely to enjoy a ride than Agent P and sorceror's of the Magic Kingdom. To stay on top Disney is going to have to do both. The future of theme parks will not exclude exciting e-ticket attracts, not if Disney wants to stay on top.

I meant Lou Mongello was the person I know personally. And here are things I found:
"Hasn't school started back yet?"
"Bye Bye Troll...you aren't even entertaining like the two JT's"
"trollolololololol"
Saying what he posted was strange
I know you are entitled to you opinions and I know this thread is in the wrong place but some people just can't let go and move on, and this guy obviously hasn't learned it's not worth it to argue with you guys. So with that being said, I'm done with this thread. Good day gentlemen!

I wanted to clear something up, I thought that post was funny, but I wasn't making fun of Lou Mongello. I listen to his podcast all the time and follow him on twitter, hes great. I just thought it was funny, because he is very positive about Disney. From the big things to all the little details that most people didn't even know about, he typically can always find the brightside of everything at Disney World.

Its kind of obvious you're trolling, but still, that's a common argument - "the parks are still crowded so obviously the general public doesn't feel this way", essentially. But it's Walt Disney World. People will always come. It has several decades of legacy and reputation going for it on top of being literally a vacation institution that people feel they have to experience. I don't even know what it would take to stop people from coming, and I'm not just talking about the "bottom line" percentage drops which they're apparently seeing.

So, they still come but that doesn't mean they're satisfied or feel it lived up to their expectations. I'd love to know at this point, how many people think:
- "Why did I pay a full, premium price for a theme park with 6 rides?"
- "Why is there not one single modern attraction with new technology at the Magic Kingdom?"

And what must someone with no attached nostalgia or knowledge of the parks think after having wasted time on one of the horrible attractions such as Stitch's Great Escape, the underwhelming attractions like Laugh Floor or American Idol Experience, or the very outdated and in an abysmal state attractions such as Peter Pan's Flight?

I am rather tired of screens at WDW. Screens in rides, screens all over the MK with that game, screens in lines. The ones in lines are fine...but the rest of it...

Like someone else said, I don't go to the parks to see stuff I can see on my own TV or do stuff I can do on my computer or iPad.

Pot... Kettle?

Interesting view since that's what a lot of the malcontents did to the OP. When some of the malcontents don't like something, they immediately scream troll.
