The Figgy family road trip! Or how to go without sleep

Spoiler alert, free stuff and soft openings are fun. Ok, here we go! Things started off differently than planned to say the least. A small tropical system was heading up 95N so we went west and took 81S into South Carolina before we saw any sun. This added somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to our trip but it was worth it as we kept hearing 95 wasn't the road to be on that day! From 81 we headed across 77 and found something that made me think about our dear @real mad hatter:eek: I think I might just have found his second favorite place in the states! Frugal Mc Dougal's discount beverage center, the place had a sign with a goofy looking guy with a kilt on it:eek: The rest of the trip to Georgia was quiet and we spent the night at the Super 8 in Brunswick. It was clean quiet and cheap. We got a good 8 hours sleep and we would need it as the rest of the trip we never seemed to get much:D

I can't imagine what was going through your head when your boys wanted the Premium bar. Glad it turned out all right. btw, how is the ice cream at the Plaza? I've never been there myself but it seems a lot of people here like the food of the Plaza restaurant overall. Aside from that, loved reading about your AK adventures.
We really enjoyed the Plaza both for dinner and the ice cream. Well the boys liked the ice cream and I liked the sorbet. The Plaza is a great meal if you're paying out of pocket, only a few dollars more than cs and the food and AC are great, not to mention the wait staff!

OMG I almost forgot to post about one of our highlights of our AK day. Right before James got his last badge Doug and Russell came out to do their M&G (thank you @ToyStoryMiss for making me remember! They were great when James said squirrel Doug went and got his toy one. And when I hug him I mentioned my very pretty dog who would let him be the alpha he took my arm and started walking away with me. They were a hoot!

Park day 7 MK. Another front of the line rope drop day! Here's a day both @epcotisbest and @real mad hatter can both enjoy for different reasons. Lucky us we were up at the rope before opening and a very nice CM came by with coupons for the soft opening for the Main Street Bakery! YEA you needed a coupon to order as they were not taking money that day and were only going to be open for a short while after rope drop. So off we went at rope drop to try out the new stuff. Well I hope they have gotten their act together by now because nobody seemed to know where anything was. They only had a dark roast coffee and it took them a while to find the soy milk. Jim and Michael split a breakfast sandwich and let's just say it isn't on their to do list for the next trip. James just wanted a milk. I can't really complain too much as it was @real mad hatter's favorite word, FREE! @DisneyDelirious I looked for you cinnamon roll and didn't see it.:( From there it was off to Story time with Belle just had to see it one more time as it was just so magical. James and I were both in the show I was the loud armoire, talk about type casting LOL. When we left we really lucked out because Gaston was just coming out and James was first on line to see him. Off to ride Under the Sea again and do some window shopping in Fantasyland. From there it was an early lunch at BOG. I can't believe how fast the lines move and lunch was excellent. I got the quinoa salad, James got the quiche, Michael got the pork and Jim got a couque monsieur. Everybody had a great time there!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend it for both lunch and dinner! After an easy morning time to get moving we went on the Liberty Belle, BTMRR, Splash, JC and POTC with bearly taking a breath. So now it was time for another visit with the Tiki birds. I so missed them the last trip as they were closed after the fire. The only problem is I can't get Tiki, Tiki, Tiki out of my head LOL From there time for some AC so we did a little shopping on Main Street and James did some of the Sorcerers missions.
Sounds like a completely magical day!

Here I was at park day 7 HS. Father's day and a happy very belated father's day to all you dads out there. The boys planned out the day. Jim awoke to find the 2013 Father's day pin at the breakfast table! We were up extra early to have a special breakfast and make rope drop! Yes this was the one day I really made sure my hair and make-up were perfect leaving the condo. I have a funny story about that later. Rope drop and the front of the line once again! Seeing the boys planned the day it was over to ride TOT first thing. I can never get over how amazing the theming and ride components are. Then a brisk walk over to RNRC. It is the smoothest coaster in my humble opinion. From there we went on TSM, where the adults once again beat the boys! This was a major feat seeing I'm not a gamer.:D Seeing we haven't done the backlot tour in a while we just had to do it this trip. Ok for the fun and funny part. When they asked for victims, I meant to say volunteers I raised my hand! Hey it's Disney and you only live once. Let's just say I had a great time and I got to be the captain! But it was fun and funny getting drenched all dressed up with my hair and make-up done:eek: After drying off we headed over to Saur tours and James was the rebel spy. Something great and unexpected always happens on father's day. I love even the little happy surprises in Disney! By now our tummy's were rumbly so off to ABC Lunch was just as good as the first time and even better this time as it was free. From there another ride on The Great Movie ride. Thanks again @Pooh Lover, still trying to get that picture out of my head. From there I just had to see the Little Mermaid again. Love it.
And why does that not surprise me!!! Captain Figgy!!:D

Ohhh Figgy! You have to give me the details on all the cool stuff you saw at the outlets. I am still trying to talk my hubby into staying at the world until park close and getting a cheap hotel that night around Orlando. More reason to do some outlet perusing the next morning before leaving for home. He probably won't go for it, but it is worth a shot!

Too funny, I believe I was selected for the same role when we did Storytime w/Belle. Gotta love when you can just sing a bit to be in the show :D and make everyone else realize that they're just not nearly as loud ;) Also awesome about the multiple rebel spy selections and the Backlot Tour participation. I'm very excited to hear that the BOG lunch line moves quickly. It's in our plans for September and I can just hear my dad's comments right now. I guess at least the bakery stuff was free. And now I have the Tiki Room music in my head...but that's OK b/c I love it :) Looking forward to more.

I love them! But I've never looked under their kilts ....I'm always there with the kids so there's never been the opportunity, maybe next time I should pop a squat right in front of the stage so I can see the "entire" show, LOL!
Don't listen to @figmentfan423..You just go ahead and have a wee peek..Just don't touch..We all love the Rope Drop..We don't want the Kilt Drop..:p
