The Figgy family road trip! Or how to go without sleep

Spoiler alert, free stuff and soft openings are fun. Ok, here we go! Things started off differently than planned to say the least. A small tropical system was heading up 95N so we went west and took 81S into South Carolina before we saw any sun. This added somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to our trip but it was worth it as we kept hearing 95 wasn't the road to be on that day! From 81 we headed across 77 and found something that made me think about our dear @real mad hatter:eek: I think I might just have found his second favorite place in the states! Frugal Mc Dougal's discount beverage center, the place had a sign with a goofy looking guy with a kilt on it:eek: The rest of the trip to Georgia was quiet and we spent the night at the Super 8 in Brunswick. It was clean quiet and cheap. We got a good 8 hours sleep and we would need it as the rest of the trip we never seemed to get much:D

Day 7 no parks, but no rest either. I got up and made a large breakfast for the crew! Bacon eggs and pancakes for the troops and a veggie tofu scramble for me! Time for some shopping. Have I ever mentioned I like to shop (just a little) LOL First stop of the day The outlets stop one the Character outlet at the north end of I drive. Scored matching POTC shirts for the guys $10 each. Yea! also got some assorted magnets and pins. While there I picked up some vitamins we were running low on. Then off to the one off 535. That one had mostly the same stuff but I did get a polo shirt for Jim and some more nickacks. All in all it was well worth my time to stop there! Now it was time for some DTD Disney time! I just like to walk around that place. The boys had lunch at Pollo Campero they loved it and I grabbed a salad. So off to do some more shopping. First stop basin. @DisneyDebNJ I hope they restock before you get there. LOL I left a few things on the shelf but not much. The bath salts called relaxation reminded me of the smell of Soarin so I just had to fill a few tubes with that, not to mention the bath bombs. I made sure to get their web address so I could order more if needed, or more likely when more were needed:D From there the boys needed to go to pin traders to look at pins and go through the book to find out what pins they would need to get to complete some of the sets they are working on. On over to the Art store where I was disappointed to find the one print I wanted for my house couldn't be ordered and could only be had over I EPCOT.oh well we're heading back there again so it wouldn't be an issue.

Ok so back to our not so restful day of rest;) At that point I grabbed a quick drink and the boys grabbed a few samples over at Ghiardelli's ( they're free @real mad hatter) Of course now recharged time for some more shopping we wandered though Once Upon a Toy and I managed to get a few things and Michael got his brother's birthday gift. There was a WII U demo area outside so the boys just had to stop and try it out. Their official review is that they the the PS3 and X-box better. Yea, I'm glad that won't be on their Christmas list! Now on over to World of Disney. The good thing is that I've knocked a few items off my Christmas shopping list, the bad news is I think I toasted some plastic there:eek: I can still smell the melting plastic LOL From there we went into the Lego store I don't know how but James only got one small container of pieces that he claims he needed. Just when you think you're done for the day we stopped and got groceries for dinner. We went back to the condo and I cooked dinner and got the laundry done! It was an early night 11pm LOL

Here I was at park day 7 HS. Father's day and a happy very belated father's day to all you dads out there. The boys planned out the day. Jim awoke to find the 2013 Father's day pin at the breakfast table! We were up extra early to have a special breakfast and make rope drop! Yes this was the one day I really made sure my hair and make-up were perfect leaving the condo. I have a funny story about that later. Rope drop and the front of the line once again! Seeing the boys planned the day it was over to ride TOT first thing. I can never get over how amazing the theming and ride components are. Then a brisk walk over to RNRC. It is the smoothest coaster in my humble opinion. From there we went on TSM, where the adults once again beat the boys! This was a major feat seeing I'm not a gamer.:D Seeing we haven't done the backlot tour in a while we just had to do it this trip. Ok for the fun and funny part. When they asked for victims, I meant to say volunteers I raised my hand! Hey it's Disney and you only live once. Let's just say I had a great time and I got to be the captain! But it was fun and funny getting drenched all dressed up with my hair and make-up done:eek: After drying off we headed over to Saur tours and James was the rebel spy. Something great and unexpected always happens on father's day. I love even the little happy surprises in Disney! By now our tummy's were rumbly so off to ABC Lunch was just as good as the first time and even better this time as it was free. From there another ride on The Great Movie ride. Thanks again @Pooh Lover, still trying to get that picture out of my head. From there I just had to see the Little Mermaid again. Love it.

Time for some resort hopping so we headed over to the Boardwalk for a tour of the villa. It was lovely but we can't see buying in. We've had such good luck renting houses and condos locally from the company we use and at a much lower price per trip. Don't shoot me it just isn't for us at this time and we're not the biggest fans of Disney transportation except for the monorail which we all consider a ride in it's own right. So back to HS. I think my boys are a little crazy as they felt the need to ride Star Tours again! Yea James was the rebel spy yet again. Really great twice in a day and none of us had ever been before! The force must have been with him! Bonus points if you can guess the shirt he'll be wearing the first day of school!

From ST we headed over to go through One Man's Dream (one of the most magical of attractions) James loved the animation class so much the first time we took him to do it again and this time he got to draw Goofy. Time for a little liquid refreshment so we went to the Tune in Lounge where I had a very yummy Mowie Wowie and Jim had part of a Blue Moon. At this time we realized it was getting late so we headed over to Rosie's All American where James and Jim got burgers and I got a veggie burger and Michael got a turkey leg next door. They really should ban those radioactive legs. Seeing my boys have a wicked sense of humor we had just enough time to hit TOT and RNRC right before seeing Fantasmic. The boys grabbed seats in the very first row by the water and having gotten drenched once already that day I sat 2 rows back, where I got spritzed not soaked. I've never sat that close before and I highly suggest if you get the chance sit there! The show was amazing as always, but I had a bunch of glow stix and the next thing I knew James and several other children were swapping and sharing. All I know is all the parents said where did they all come from! When the show let out we had time for one last ride on RNRC and TOT which were both walk ons after Fantasmic. Another long magical day!
