The Figgy family road trip! Or how to go without sleep

Spoiler alert, free stuff and soft openings are fun. Ok, here we go! Things started off differently than planned to say the least. A small tropical system was heading up 95N so we went west and took 81S into South Carolina before we saw any sun. This added somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to our trip but it was worth it as we kept hearing 95 wasn't the road to be on that day! From 81 we headed across 77 and found something that made me think about our dear @real mad hatter:eek: I think I might just have found his second favorite place in the states! Frugal Mc Dougal's discount beverage center, the place had a sign with a goofy looking guy with a kilt on it:eek: The rest of the trip to Georgia was quiet and we spent the night at the Super 8 in Brunswick. It was clean quiet and cheap. We got a good 8 hours sleep and we would need it as the rest of the trip we never seemed to get much:D

From ST we headed over to go through One Man's Dream (one of the most magical of attractions) James loved the animation class so much the first time we took him to do it again and this time he got to draw Goofy. Time for a little liquid refreshment so we went to the Tune in Lounge where I had a very yummy Mowie Wowie and Jim had part of a Blue Moon. At this time we realized it was getting late so we headed over to Rosie's All American where James and Jim got burgers and I got a veggie burger and Michael got a turkey leg next door. They really should ban those radioactive legs. Seeing my boys have a wicked sense of humor we had just enough time to hit TOT and RNRC right before seeing Fantasmic. The boys grabbed seats in the very first row by the water and having gotten drenched once already that day I sat 2 rows back, where I got spritzed not soaked. I've never sat that close before and I highly suggest if you get the chance sit there! The show was amazing as always, but I had a bunch of glow stix and the next thing I knew James and several other children were swapping and sharing. All I know is all the parents said where did they all come from! When the show let out we had time for one last ride on RNRC and TOT which were both walk ons after Fantasmic. Another long magical day!
Let me guess....you had part of the blue moon, too?

I guess the good news...it will be a MUCH cheaper afternoon for us, but the reasons prompting it are pretty alarming. Pretty sad that they couldn't find the allergy book. GRRRRRRRR Thanks again for posting this issue because I really don't want to have DD6 go into anaphylactic shock over something that was supposed to be a fun treat.

Will try and catch up on the rest of the report after work :)
The whole allergy issue is mind-blowing as Disney is usually so fantastic with this. Its a main reason we became hooked!

Exactly! They are usually so diligent about these things that my mind is always way more at ease when dining at WDW.
Our only two mess ups were Kona cafe (our single worst dining experience ever. my wife actually walked out in tears and went back to our room) and Mara Grill (they gave her the wrong salad and she actually got sick).

That's horrible! Both of our mess ups happened at 'Ohana, but they were very easily/quickly corrected. At 'Ohana dinner, they gave us the peanut sauce just minutes after confirming we couldn't have it. At 'Ohana breakfast, they forgot to put the allergy flower down on our table. Thankfully, our server double checked the ticket. He managed to swipe the bread left for us by a runner before any was consumed by DD6. I'm worried about our ADR for Raglan Road b/c I read a review where a boy with nut allergies was given a dessert with almonds...the mgr tried to claim it was a large oat

Here I am at the end of our park days. Park day 10. Another great front of the line rope drop day! Have I ever mentioned the importance of rope drops? LOL Well today is the one we weren't rushing through. Today was our we're just going to wing it sort of and have lots of fun day. EPCOT as it is always our final park of the trip, and it was where we spent the day. We started at the Art of Disney, where the boys bought a suspicious rectangular package and wouldn't let me see what they got. I'm hoping it was the piece I wanted for over the fireplace. Guess I'll have to wait for Christmas:( I'd promised I wouldn't peek and I haven't. :) The suspense is going to get me. LOL From there the boys got me back on TT, where I finally got to design a car, YEA!!!!!!!! A quick ride on MS orange. Then we did a quick spin on the boat at the Land and Soarin. Just had to ride it one last time. Thank goodness I have the bath salts from Basin that bring back the smell and memories of it. Then we headed to ride Imagination thinking I might be saying good-bye to Figment. :( Time to head over to WS to get the last of my shopping done. We went to France and I shopped while the boys ate. I got James something he really wants for Christmas but no hints, incase @KIDLOVESDISNEY sees this and decides to spill the beans. LOL From there we went to Japan and did some more shopping before doing one of the most magical things one can do in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

So after lunch and shopping we met up with @disneysince71 and her lovely family. I couldn't believe how Nick and James got on! It was like they always knew each other. The boys did an Agent P adventure, They worked so well together. Then it was off to ride Figment together. The boys headed off the ride MS green in search of a hidden Mickey. We all did Habit Hero. Then time for the Hat Lady who was let's just say loud. We enjoyed a little bit of sounds like summer and had dinner in the American Pavillion.

I am happy to report that Nick helped James complete the rest of the Agent P missions. Then off to France for some goodies and Jim got quite a few bagettes for the ride north. Then we settled in on the bridge between GB and France to watch Illuminations. After that we all hugged and parted ways. I wish that day would never end. So off to package pick up we went. Thankfully it wasn't too crowded as I had quite a few bags to get into the car. And off to the condo to get organized and try and get a little sleep because we needed to be on the road by about 7 for the rest of our adventure. ps one of the pieces of bread didn't even make it back to the condo!
