The Fairytale & Dream Come True-May 2013 DFTW & Honeymoon Report​

Welcome to the very best trip report EVER!!!!! I can’t believe I’m sitting here writing this when I’ve been married for over two months now…yep that’s right! I went down to the happiest place on earth and got married!! Oh aaaannd I went on my very first cruise! (Apologies to my cruise ladies…that was supposed to be my first cruise, but I made a cruise a first for me and my husband!) So thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy! Here we go!!!!!!

WHEN: May 18-May 28, 2013

WHERE: May 18-23: The Boardwalk Inn, May 23-26: Disney Dream, May 26-28: Art of Animation: Little Mermaid room

WHO: There were a lot of characters that made appearances during this trip! Myself, my now husband Mike (who hasn’t been to the world since he was 12 and he is now 26), Mom (who you know from my many previous trip reports), Dad (his first trip EVER and first time to FL), Memere & Pepere (my grandparents whom are lovers of Disney & resided in FL for a few winters), Aunt (tagged along to help the grandparents), Mom-in-law & Dad-in-law (Mike’s parents), Brother & his gf (Mike’s brother and his gf tagged along for the journey too! It was her first time to WDW and they had a blast!)

Now everyone pretty much came in on the 18th and left on the 22nd (except us). The other characters will make appearances in a few places but I’ll only post a picture of us for now.

A little background on Mike and I and this decision before I begin…Mike and I have been together for almost 5 years now. We met in college through a mutual friend and the rest is history I knew there was something about him from the moment I laid eyes on him, and fortunately he felt the same about me. I did warn him about my Disney addiction way in the beginning & said if we get married it will be in Disney World. I guess he didn’t mind because well he let my dream come true! We were originally planning on getting married in March 2014, but since we were both already out of school and had full time jobs…we figured why not sooner! So about 7 months before the big day in October…we decided to get married in Disney World in May! We were so excited to get planning and thought it was so far away! But my, did the time come very fast! Thank you for tuning in and I hope you enjoy it!

Note: I did not take notes on this trip at all I was having too much fun to stop and write so this is going all from my pictures and memory!

During the wedding days of the trip, we used these awesome Times Guides that @HollyBelle made for us!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! Everyone loved them!!!

During our Sand Ceremony, Rob our AMAZING violinist played a reprise of “I See the Light”

Our recessional was the movie theme to Pirates of the Caribbean…Rob played a mean version! I LOVED IT!

Our first dance here was “Part Of Your World” would you expect anything less from me? Haha

I’ll spare you all the family portraits, but here’s the best one!

From here we said good bye to our guests and began walking around the Boardwalk area with Jason taking pictures.

At this point it began to rain so I his under Mike’s jacket! And I also got donated a few towels from the pool attendants at Stormalong Bay

We hung out a bit in the Yacht club by the gift shop and low and behold the workers there came out and gave Mike and I a bride and groom Minnie and Mickey as a gift with congratulations. They were so cute we saw them watching from afar as we his from the downpour. And then they came over. THANK YOU to those castmembers!!!!! (This is where you now realize that we already had some and the next day went to return the ones we bought).

The rain began to subside and out we went!

So here’s the story behind this one. I used to work at a Hot Dog Stand and they are like family to me. So she has pictures of her and her husband, and another girl who previously worked there who got married eating hot dogs in their wedding wear! So well naturally I had to do it to for her!

And with that, our morning and a bit of the afternoon with Jason ended. He took well over 300 pictures and did such a great job. Thanks to @HollyBelle for having him at her wedding because that’s where I loved his work! Thank you to Jason for spending time with us and taking such beautiful pictures!!!!

Before I continue on with our day I want to share some pictures from our ceremony that my aunt and mom took.

And there you have it! I couldn’t believe our ceremony was over just like that! After our session with Jason, we noticed my Memere, Pepere, and Aunt having some pizza in the Belle Vue Lounge, so we joined them!

After some pizza we called Mom and my in-laws to tell them we were heading up to our room and they could bring the stuff they had. Luckily they were there to catch Mike carrying me over the threshold!

Luckily we made it inside and finished our pictures before a crazy rainstorm ensued complete with thunder and lightning. We found out later in the day that the couple getting married at 2pm at SBP had to move inside. I would have been very upset. Glad we picked the morning wedding time!

Finally, it was time for dinner! Everyone met in the lobby for the limo ride over. We had to go twice, so my parents and Mike’s parents, and his brother and his gf went in.

Then it came back for myself, Mike, Memere, Pepere, and my Aunt!

Narcoossee’s I guess didn’t open until 5:30 so we were a little bit early. There was quite a few other’s waiting, but I was the only one in a wedding dress

So excited to eat here!

We headed inside and were seated at a big table right by the door. Of course I was at the head of the table! Everyone in the restaurant was giving me so many compliments on my wedding dress and congratulating us. Especially our waitress, Debbie, she was adorable! She treated Mike and I like royalty. Thank you for the great service!!!!

I was so excited for the food because I was so hungry! We had calamari for an appetizer! There were also a few others around the table but I didn’t get pictures of them.

For dinner I had the Halbut-WHICH WAS AMAZING. I would 100% eat here again.

Mike had some chicken entrée which also was really really good!

After dinner, the rest of my family had to catch the limo back, while we stayed behind at the Grand Floridian…for what you might ask? You’ll find out soon! For now we had a lot of time to kill, so we found a nice little bench to sit on and I took a picture of every single different monorail that went by.

It was finally time, so we headed to the marina because we had a Wishes Fireworks cruise!!!!!!!!!

Our boat driver was awesome! He was real easy to get along with and was very knowledgable. We had a ton of food on board and sodas and water just for us! We even took some back to the room with us after! Our tour took us over to the Wilderness Lodge area where we learned about the extinct River Country and Discovery Island (which I have been to!) It was really cool (and creepy!) to see all the old standing docks, bridges, etc.

We watched the Electrical Water Pageant when it came through from the Seven Seas Lagoon

After that it was time to stake out our spot for wishes!

We gave our camera to the driver since he offered to take pictures of us during the fireworks so we could enjoy it. They didn’t come out great, but I do like how some of them came out! Also, we were surprised when the music to Wishes piped in on the boat, because I didn’t pay extra for that! Thanks!

And with that, it was over. I cried of course. It was the most perfect ending to a perfect day. We couldn’t have watched wishes from a better spot on our wedding day. I wouldn’t have changed anything for the world. Thank you boat driver (I forgot his name sorry!) for helping us make our evening that much more magical!

We headed into the lobby to wait for our town car back to the Boardwalk.

We got back to our room after the most PERFECT day. I want to thank all the cast members who made that day a little extra special for us, and especially thanks to all my family who came down to see us tie the knot! We reflected on this amazing day as we were getting ready for bed, but also excited for what the next day had in store for us….BRIDAL POTRAITS AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!!!! I had Priscilla coming for my hair at 4 am….so to bed we went, but not before taking out all my bobby pins from my hair….48 I counted! It was a pain in the butt but so worth it!!!!!

And with that the most PERFECT day came to an end.
