I am working from home today and was watching the Ellen DeGeneres show. It's her 50th birthday and a member of the audience (who was there a few days ago)a mother with 4 children who works 7 days a week was just given a year of a million dreams visit to each of the disney parks worldwide, including tickets, passes, hotel and food. Her son was so happy he was crying. What an amazing gift to win!

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
I thought it had to be given away in/around the parks?!

Now tell me the computer spit out: "Go to the Ellen TV Show studio - at 9:45am - in the audience - row 7a - seat 6c"

"It's totally random!"

Oh? Is it now?

:lookaroun

*shrug* Kudos to the family though :)

Plus, when Ellen was introducing them she said she had seen the boy in the audience a few days ago and danced with him. Ater the show she talked with family. So truth is, Ellen picked this family!

I got a shiny copper Lincoln that says Ellen payed for it, or at least offered. She is always giving things away, and not little things either.

Well, honestly the year of a million dreams is just what the main contest is. There are a lot of other things that are given out under the banner of the "Year" but are not considered part of the main contest which is outlined on the website. So this maybe one of those, or more likely, as mentioned above, she talked to disney and let her use the name of the "year" and then paid for it.

Either way, it's great to see people who deserve such things to be able to experience the magic!

So much for "It's random". Unless Ellen is a supercomputer in the body of a 50-year-old! :ROFLOL:

i wonder who did pay for it, i doubt the studio only because its NBC and NBC is owned by Universal, so why would that company pay for a trip for a family to go to there Competitions play ground?

YOMD doesn't say that a winner will be selected every day to stay in the castle or to receive any of the other prizes. Last year and this year castle stay's have been awarded in contests and through Make a Wish and the like. I assume this is similar, a YOMD type prize but not awarded within the actual contest.
