...easy as 123?
The plans have changed a little since I last reported the major details of the entire project, but the ride won't be wholly video based.
TSMM is officially a D Ride - and one with a high capacity queue. It just wasn`t designed for Fast Pass. They know that now.EDIT: Oh don't get me wrong, I loved TSM too but if that's an E-ticket then so is Star Tours [which I love]. And I don't think it was built for capacity, that line took forever! And it almost wasn't worth the wait after you've seen it.

Does that mean they are considering getting rid of it?
Just like the Mexico boat ride rehab. What a stupid, forced, quick fix
LOL I have to agree with that, well said. Also at the same time though those screens were all in there before except the one at the beginning and end, and I do hate the one at the end its cheapo looking, that fake stage. Id almost prefer the scary people on the strings riding around that out dated carousel.
.
I am going to have to respectfully disagree with recent posts about the Mexico El Ria de Tiempo refurb.
I think it was a pretty good refurb for the $$ made availalble. It added a bit more color and pizazz back to a once very dull and boring attraction. Plus, its nice to see los Tres Caballeros back in action.
The new scenes at the beginning dont' even match the sets.(Which were perfect for the ancient culture scene of El Rio Del Tiempo.)Pizazz: Yes
Not-Dull: sort-of-Yes
Relevant to Mexico: Barely, if at all.
I love Donald and the Three Caballeros are entertaining but, this attraction was half baked (better than JIYI and others, obviously, but still). It would of been better if they had just updated the films with new mythological scenes and modern day Mexico films.
oh lord. All excitment I had for this project is now lost. Disney keeps replacing attractions with rides where you stare at video screens adn eventually people will get a clue and stop coming to see this crap. Especially with tickets at almost $80.
As I said before in this and previous posts, the charges are hardly a reason for alarm. If anything, the newest plans are even better the previous ones (in my opinion).
I stated that this ride won't be wholly based around video (right now, I'm looking at 1-2 scenes estimated) since certain limitations on the ride building and its historical sediments are unable to be recreated or built back up, the scenes will be used for a sort of introduction (or reintroduction if that is how you want to look at it). The rest should be set-based, so no reason to fret.
