Trip Report The countdown just hit zero - We’re in Disney right now!

Greetings fellow Disney lovers and welcome one and all to this happy place. As the title suggests I am in Florida right now, living the dream

Some of you will know me but for those of you who don't let's have a quick introduction as my 17 night trip has already started. Yes you read that right - 17 nights - whoooooo. Hoooooooo.


Me - Tracey - I absolutely love Disney, my house is covered in Disney - my first night in POR will see me spending 300 nights in my favourite place - I live in a bubble and the outside world frustrates me in terms of horrible, violent people but that's another story and not one for my trip report.


Chris - my husband, best friend and my rock. We've been married for 21 years and we still laugh and joke with each other. He never wanted to go to Disney but now his hooked - love me, love Disney!


We're in Florida from the UK for our 21st trip - I am fortunate to be able to afford this every year but I'm still jealous of all my American friends who can get cheap flights over regularly (and this who now live here) - this trip alone with overnight at a hotel before our flight, car parking, Disney, Kennedy and Universal tickets, car hire and hotel cost us in excess of £4000


It's a substantial amount of money but hey, the amount of memories we create we really don't mind and why we can afford it we will go......

Here we are last year.

This TR might be a little different from my last 3 - I’ve previously done daily updating every night which at times has seen me spending all day in the park and then writing till well beyond midnight. Those of you who have done TR’s will know the time they take (it’s certainly a commitment but we all do it to share our stories and our love of Disney so others can live through it all and help with Disney blues or countdowns to their own trips)

I’ve not had a holiday or break from work since March so I just need to chill!


That said since I’ve been here I’ve been writing every day (but not posted) - so our trip - so far - will be easy to post (as I’ll just copy and paste) and add photos of course!


After that though who knows as we’ll be into the Disney park part of our holiday (more about that shortly)

We’ll just see what happens and and I’ll update when I can for those of you who want to read it!

Myself and Chris always sit in this ride and when it gets to the Lion king piece “everybody look left, everybody look right”me and Chris both look each way as they sing it - and then we both say “not yet” at that point too - we can’t help it - I am sure others must think we are nut cases - but hey we’re in Disney to have fun - so we will.

Nothing wrong with having fun!

Jealous of your fabulously fun MK day! This time I’m the one suffering through dreary rain while you are riding BTMRR. I did have to quickly skip over your dryer lint pics. Next time I ride Haunted Mansion I will look for that special car.

Also do any of my American friends know where I can get some of these jegging type pants with Mickey on - all over the parks I’m seeing loads of people wearing them but I haven’t seen them in any shops?

I don't know for sure but they could be LuLaRoe leggings. LuLaRoe makes really comfy leggings in fun prints and they recently partnered with Disney to release a bunch of limited release patterns. The only way to get them is through a pop-up shop or online retailers - it can be quite challenging to find the patterns you're looking for and someone who is selling them in your area. It's become almost like a game for some people!

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure this is what you're seeing but it could be!

Thanks - we had a really fun day made all the better by BTMRR.
I knew you wouldn’t like the cotton candy pics but it had to be done!

And yes we’d never seen the haunted mansion thing before - it’s before one of the doom buggies - funny you think you’ve seen everything and then BAM - something you’ve never seen before. I wish we took a note of the doom buggy number before it - then I would know when on the track to expect it.

I had never made any before but it passed the time waiting for my trip - some weren’t so good but I love the Olaf and villain ones - I just looked on you tube got a template and copid from there - I am sure you could make some - if I can anyone can.
And that parade (well in fact all the Disney parades) are extra special and I could literally watch every day - glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Monday 13th November

This morning we were headed to Hollywood studios to do the “walk of the toys”however we were going to RNRC so technically we weren’t doing the toy walk but we were hoping everupyone else was!

Whilst the picture looks like there were a lot of people there really wasn’t too many, the park was opened and everyone was off!

To my surprise more people seemed to be headed to RNRC rather than TSMM or TOT

Maybe it’s because people hadn’t booked a fast pass - we hadn’t booked one so that’s why we were there!

We loved our back stage passes

There were loads of radio stations down sunset boulevard - we never found out why!

We were going to queue for TSMM as it was only a 35 min queue at around 9.25
But we decided to use the fast pass and get th8ngs done so we could head somewhere else this afternoon.

I won again!

We then headed to star tours again we had a fast pass but it was a 10min wait around 10.30 so we just joined the queue.

And then off to beauty and the beast - my favourite film and I love the beast!

We then headed out - cancelling our fast passes for star tours and VOTLM on the way out

We headed back home to get some lunch, have a wander around Riverside, do some washing and to face time the parents.

Before we left Riverside we had ice cream with chocolate cake!

Jobs done we were on our way to Epcot

Thankfully the FP we had cancelled allowed us to get 2 when we got into Epcot - result Living in the land for right away - and the queue was showing 30 mins - I remember when this ride was always a walk on! -

and test track for later on

We then went for a stroll......

It was the last day of food and wine - it was busy but not as mad Saturday was

This little guy was just sun bathing in the Canada gardens

We headed to Paris for pastries

And then onto Japan

And then we were in America - that meant only one thing! An American dream - slushy and ice cream all in one drink - 2 of my favourite things mixed together

And then the sun started to set

Then we hit Mexico

And headed back to our TT FP

It was time for our Test Travk fast pass - we were chuffed we had managed to get this one at such short notice

We headed to see what FP were available and were surprised when Illuminations came up - we took that one quickly and decided to head back to our room for a couple of hours (so I could update this rather than doing when we get in) and so Chris could chill.

So we are off to illuminations in 10 mins - and will be going straight to sleep when we get in - as we are aiming to go to Magic Kingdom tomorrow - it opens at 8am and we are going to try to get there for opening.

@Doc Disney - did you check your plans for 18th? Just wondering if we can sort to meet @blgauger - we have HS FP at 9, 10 and 11 so let us know - it would be great to see you again - (a little less tired than last time!)

The final part of Monday 13th November!

We headed back to Epcot around 8.15pm and parked ourself right. Ear the front of the park - that’s the advantage of just going to the fireworks you just drive through the parking lot as everyone has gone home that works there.

We headed in

Their was only a 5min queue for spaceship earth so obviously we were going to ride

The only problem was with slowing down and stopping we got off with around 5 mins to spare - thankfully we can walk pretty fast and made it with about 2mins to spare (within our fast pass window).

What a fab way to end the day!
