Trip Report The countdown just hit zero - We’re in Disney right now!

Greetings fellow Disney lovers and welcome one and all to this happy place. As the title suggests I am in Florida right now, living the dream

Some of you will know me but for those of you who don't let's have a quick introduction as my 17 night trip has already started. Yes you read that right - 17 nights - whoooooo. Hoooooooo.

Me - Tracey - I absolutely love Disney, my house is covered in Disney - my first night in POR will see me spending 300 nights in my favourite place - I live in a bubble and the outside world frustrates me in terms of horrible, violent people but that's another story and not one for my trip report.

Chris - my husband, best friend and my rock. We've been married for 21 years and we still laugh and joke with each other. He never wanted to go to Disney but now his hooked - love me, love Disney!

We're in Florida from the UK for our 21st trip - I am fortunate to be able to afford this every year but I'm still jealous of all my American friends who can get cheap flights over regularly (and this who now live here) - this trip alone with overnight at a hotel before our flight, car parking, Disney, Kennedy and Universal tickets, car hire and hotel cost us in excess of £4000

It's a substantial amount of money but hey, the amount of memories we create we really don't mind and why we can afford it we will go......

C6B397CF-D368-43A2-A910-5B25D0BD3E94.jpeg

Here we are last year.

This TR might be a little different from my last 3 - I’ve previously done daily updating every night which at times has seen me spending all day in the park and then writing till well beyond midnight. Those of you who have done TR’s will know the time they take (it’s certainly a commitment but we all do it to share our stories and our love of Disney so others can live through it all and help with Disney blues or countdowns to their own trips)

I’ve not had a holiday or break from work since March so I just need to chill!

That said since I’ve been here I’ve been writing every day (but not posted) - so our trip - so far - will be easy to post (as I’ll just copy and paste) and add photos of course!

After that though who knows as we’ll be into the Disney park part of our holiday (more about that shortly)

We’ll just see what happens and and I’ll update when I can for those of you who want to read it!

All aboard!

I don't know for sure but they could be LuLaRoe leggings. LuLaRoe makes really comfy leggings in fun prints and they recently partnered with Disney to release a bunch of limited release patterns. The only way to get them is through a pop-up shop or online retailers - it can be quite challenging to find the patterns you're looking for and someone who is selling them in your area. It's become almost like a game for some people!

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure this is what you're seeing but it could be!
I purchased several Disney LuLaRoe leggings from ebay. They are very comfy. They are also much cheaper on ebay. the leggings I purchased were new not previously worn.

Enjoying this so much!!!

Thanks we are having a great time

Loving the BTMRR count. Our record is 7 times in a row one EME a few years ago. The last time round we did the whole thing eyes closed ... And were in fits of laughter by the end.

Wow - 7 times in a row - that would be pretty awesome. We rode again last night in the dark but might need to try eyes closed - that sounds interesting!

Another great day! I love reading the updates knowing you are there right now.:)

We are loving being here - glad I can share with others.

Your pictures are fantastic!!

Thank you

I cannot wait to ride BTMRR. It was the only mountain I couldn’t ride last year.

Ask for the back - it’s the best seat in the house! And we couldn’t ride last year either, hence the reason for trying to catch up!

Been following along very quietly, but had to jump in and say your pics are fantastic, love the ears, and I would also certainly buy a Goofy Marley doorknocker to hang on my front door!!

Looks like you had a lot of fun driving on the Speedway! And also "playing" with your camera. I love seeing your experimental shots. :)

Glad you’ve Been reading - I still think of you when I go to HS as I missed the chance to say hi in person.
Glad your liking the pictures and I so want one of those door knockers.
More experimental shots to come!

I think you meant The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

Max

Doh! - yes of course I do...... that’s what happens when you do live reports and try to fit things in. Gold star for you!

Just finished reading and up to date now. Lovely photos and definitely looks like you are having a fantastic time.

We are thanks and the weather is still nice so we’re trying to soak it all up before the dull dreary winter of the UK

Enjoyed the pictures. Looking forward to more.

Thank you

Thanks for that tip I might look into that then - there are some pretty cool ones about that I’ve seen.

Wednesday 15th November

So yesterday we were out for 16 1/2 hours! - hence the reason I didn’t update last night!

We were out by 7.20am - despite having the quick service dining plan we had to keep up the tradition of a Golden Corral breakfast. Since we’ve had a car we have had a breakfast for every trip - we certainly don’t get value in terms of what we eat but we wanted to head there anyway.

And obviously chocolate for breakfast is acceptable!

Then we were on the way to Universal

There were not many cars driving in so we hoped this was a good sign of possible crowd levels - we were not disappointed.

The queue times for pretty much every ride was 10mins and most of that was the queuing systems.

We headed to dragon alley to Gringotts - the wait time was showing as 10 mins but that was just due to the queue etc - so we went round twice

At 12 noon we were at Men in Black - we went round 3 times - 1 of these we were completely alone - it was like getting VIP service.

We were headed to Forbiddn journey - again a 10 min wait - what a great day to be in Universal, the sun was shining - it was beautiful and quiet - just like when we used to come a few years ago.

Usually this queue is jam packed - I’m not sure why we had to double backwards and forwards though with no one here!

I just love this fire station so I had to take a picture - I always comment about how nice it is - much better than the ones in the UK!

The sun was setting as we arrived back to Riverside

We dropped off the car and literally walked back out with a jumper each as we were not anticipating getting back home early tonight

We made it to the MK at 5.50 and got to our 7DMT FP with 5 mins to spare - I don’t think we’ve ever done this ride at night and it was a lot of fun

Then off to FP number 2 - BTMRR - where else

Isn’t this sight beautiful

B1F49A0A-46B7-44AF-B08A-CCE4531A7211.jpeg

We did our buzz FP and then around 8pm headed to the hub to secure somewhere to watch HEA - it was EMH tonight so we knew we could just wait out the crowds after as we could stay until midnight.

There were a lot of people in MK

E55E97B7-5081-4AAC-B97E-CB5EF14742AB.jpeg

And then HEA - the other night when we watched we left before the end as I had panicked at the crowds - I really don’t think I watched it properly

Tonight was different - this is now my favourite night time show - I shed a tear at the end - it was amazing

There are quite a few photos to follow - I hope you like them

HEA photos are STUNNING!!! :inlove:

Haven't seen this show in person, our last couple and next couple of Disney vacations are cruises, so I don't know when I'll see it live, but wow, those pictures make me want to fly down there this weekend and catch it!!

ETA: And what a great day at Uni! I'd love the chance to explore all the HP queues without someone trying to rush me along.
