Trip Report The countdown just hit zero - We’re in Disney right now!

Greetings fellow Disney lovers and welcome one and all to this happy place. As the title suggests I am in Florida right now, living the dream

Some of you will know me but for those of you who don't let's have a quick introduction as my 17 night trip has already started. Yes you read that right - 17 nights - whoooooo. Hoooooooo.

Me - Tracey - I absolutely love Disney, my house is covered in Disney - my first night in POR will see me spending 300 nights in my favourite place - I live in a bubble and the outside world frustrates me in terms of horrible, violent people but that's another story and not one for my trip report.

Chris - my husband, best friend and my rock. We've been married for 21 years and we still laugh and joke with each other. He never wanted to go to Disney but now his hooked - love me, love Disney!

We're in Florida from the UK for our 21st trip - I am fortunate to be able to afford this every year but I'm still jealous of all my American friends who can get cheap flights over regularly (and this who now live here) - this trip alone with overnight at a hotel before our flight, car parking, Disney, Kennedy and Universal tickets, car hire and hotel cost us in excess of £4000

It's a substantial amount of money but hey, the amount of memories we create we really don't mind and why we can afford it we will go......

C6B397CF-D368-43A2-A910-5B25D0BD3E94.jpeg

Here we are last year.

This TR might be a little different from my last 3 - I’ve previously done daily updating every night which at times has seen me spending all day in the park and then writing till well beyond midnight. Those of you who have done TR’s will know the time they take (it’s certainly a commitment but we all do it to share our stories and our love of Disney so others can live through it all and help with Disney blues or countdowns to their own trips)

I’ve not had a holiday or break from work since March so I just need to chill!

That said since I’ve been here I’ve been writing every day (but not posted) - so our trip - so far - will be easy to post (as I’ll just copy and paste) and add photos of course!

After that though who knows as we’ll be into the Disney park part of our holiday (more about that shortly)

We’ll just see what happens and and I’ll update when I can for those of you who want to read it!

All aboard!

Haven't been back to Disney in three years (four summers). We visited London

and a few other sites, View attachment 243300 and Paris last November (this very week a year ago in fact). Had a great time. Planning to visit Europe again in summer 2019.

This past June, we drove from Pennsylvania to Kansas and back. In July, we flew to Arizona

and visited New Mexico,

Colorado,

and Utah.

Although we haven't been to Disneyland or Disney World, we've been busy!

Brayden are Maddy keep asking to visit again, so I'm sure we will be back. They are getting big. Brayden started HS and made the HS soccer team, but dislocated his knee after just three games. 10 weeks later, and he still has 4 weeks of therapy to go!

Maddy ran cross country this year for her MS. She did well! This is her in the lead.

So thanks for the kind words and asking about the family. I hope your fun continues. Thats the family update from my end. Looking forward to following along with your report daily.

It certainly seems as if you have been seeing a lot of the world on your travels and thanks for the update - If i remember last year you were just back from Stonehenge - Branden & Maddy are certainly growing up!

Tracey I’m having second thoughts about being your friend now that I know you enjoy eating dryer lint.......;) :joyfull:

Oh no! Please don’t de-friend me!

Cotton candy is delicious! :hungry:

In moderation! It’s a lot of sugar......

Friday 10th November

We were headed back to Animal Kingdom - we had another FOP fast pass and wanted to queue Navi River journey - our thought process was that everyone would queue FOP at rope drop so we might be lucky.

As we turned the corner to enter Pandora the queue for FOP was literally right at the entrance! I think it was already over an hour and a half!

We by passed everyone and joined the Navi queue - it was saying 20min wait

At around 9.22am we were boarding the ride - so my advice - get a FOP FP and queue Navi!

I enjoyed this pleasant ride - it’s a nice gentle way to start the day.

Next stop Dinosaur - there are quite a few sayings from the pre show we use at home so we always have a chuckle at this one!

We then had a FOP fast pass to get back to - I know we hadn’t planned this very well but I have definitely put on weight with all this food from the dining plan and we’re miles behind eating them so the walking was going to do us good!

We’ve got loads still to eat too!

Anyhow back to Pandora we went - I know I said this yesterday but this ride is something else - absolutely love it!

A quick picture before we took our ride on the banshee - it feels so real, I could feel him breathing and the straps by my legs were moving - absolutely amazing (did I say that already!) :D

As we exited the wait time was 210mins (3 1/2 hours). That’s some queue!

There was something else we were going to repeat again today - Night blossom - yum

And now a few more Pandora pictures - it’s so beautiful here but the photos don’t do it justice - but here’s a few anyway...... (some are taken with a special mode on my camera as I was playing!

There’s also a place where this sign was - obviously we were the mad people waving our hands - trying to get each other wet - no one else was with us or knew what we were doing - we were in our own little world...

I was trying to be artistic with the next shot and hadn’t realised I had taken a picture of Chris in the mirror - turns out it was a good photo for a different reason than the one I was trying for

Our original plan today was to head to Universal this afternoon but we had spent a fair while in the park and decided we wouldn’t have enough time so we hopped in the car and headed out to do some shopping - a few more clothes have been added to the suitcase!

We’re not going out tonight - MK closed at 6pm as they have a Christmas party - Hollywood Studios and Aminal Kingdom closed at 8pm so that only leaves Epcot - illuminations are at 10pm and I don’t think I’ll be awake to see that so we’ve just had ice cream in our room - a perfect way to end another busy day

A9467DB9-16AF-4E63-AF46-6895379BC9AB.jpeg

And I’m hoping that within the next 45 mins (at about 9.30) I wil be asleep - we want another full day tomorrow - Epcot and HS to come.....

Just caught up!
Your trip looks great so far! It snowed here in Chicago yesterday, so I'm pretty jealous of the 86° temps you're enjoying!
My husband also likes to visit Kennedy Space Center when we head to Disney. Glad to see we're not the only space nerds :p
Your HEA pictures were wonderful! I can't wait to see it!
And Pandora. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! Can't wait!

And ice cream every day. I totally do this too!
You're a girl after my own heart!

Enjoying the report and great pics!

FoP is just so good - jealous of all the FPs you got for it!

Thank you - it’s hard to do live as I am just on an iPad with Disney wi fi - for work I am a Personal assistant so I can type fast but on this thing it’s not as easy!
Thanks for letting me know you are reading at least I know the time is well spent and others are living through our trip
We had heard great things before we left about FOP so we’re determined to get a few as we also knew the lines would be long (and we weren’t wrong there!)

Join my ice cream club then - you are more than welcome :)
And you won’t be disappointed with either HEA or Pandora.
Snow - brrrrr. It was a little cooler here today and it rained - more on that shortly.
Thanks for reading

Thanks - it rained here today briefly but was still around 80 I think so still warm.
And glad you are enjoying the photos - I still can’t believe the quality of them - it’s just a point and shoot compact camera but it does everything some of these huge cameras people take to the parks do - at the moment most shots are on auto but if I ever work out the rest of the options I’m sure I can create some even better shots.

Saturday 11th November

I can’t believe we’ve been here a week - it feels like a lifetime ago - which is obviously great news for us and we’ve still got many more days to come!

Today we headed to Epcot - with the intention of switching over to HS this afternoon - to leave the food and wine Saturday night crowds to it (we guessed as it was the last Saturday night before it ends on 13th that it would be busy)

We arrived at Epcot before 9am and were parked on the grass - yes you read right the grass - clearly huge crowds were expected and they were making sure every parking space was utilised

Good news though the grass is literally at the entrance. :D

We joined the crowds and headed to Soarin knowing it wouldn’t compare to FOP but as we didn’t have a FP for it this was going to be our opportunity - the sign said 20 mins and was pretty accurate as we were soon riding

Hi Patrick .......

As we exited the wait time was showing 50mins so we had done well there.

Straight over to Living with the land - I really enjoy this little boat ride and we always comment about how informative and educational it is

We made our way to the World showcase - before the area immediately as you enter was a fast pass allocation for illuminations myself and Chris would sit here for the fireworks - we would often lie on the warm floor staring at the stars - this is something I miss now - so just lied on the floor to remember - Chris seemed to capture the moment :)

We were then off on a little stroll around the world
