Trip Report The countdown just hit zero - We’re in Disney right now!

Greetings fellow Disney lovers and welcome one and all to this happy place. As the title suggests I am in Florida right now, living the dream

Some of you will know me but for those of you who don't let's have a quick introduction as my 17 night trip has already started. Yes you read that right - 17 nights - whoooooo. Hoooooooo.

Me - Tracey - I absolutely love Disney, my house is covered in Disney - my first night in POR will see me spending 300 nights in my favourite place - I live in a bubble and the outside world frustrates me in terms of horrible, violent people but that's another story and not one for my trip report.

Chris - my husband, best friend and my rock. We've been married for 21 years and we still laugh and joke with each other. He never wanted to go to Disney but now his hooked - love me, love Disney!

We're in Florida from the UK for our 21st trip - I am fortunate to be able to afford this every year but I'm still jealous of all my American friends who can get cheap flights over regularly (and this who now live here) - this trip alone with overnight at a hotel before our flight, car parking, Disney, Kennedy and Universal tickets, car hire and hotel cost us in excess of £4000

It's a substantial amount of money but hey, the amount of memories we create we really don't mind and why we can afford it we will go......

C6B397CF-D368-43A2-A910-5B25D0BD3E94.jpeg

Here we are last year.

This TR might be a little different from my last 3 - I’ve previously done daily updating every night which at times has seen me spending all day in the park and then writing till well beyond midnight. Those of you who have done TR’s will know the time they take (it’s certainly a commitment but we all do it to share our stories and our love of Disney so others can live through it all and help with Disney blues or countdowns to their own trips)

I’ve not had a holiday or break from work since March so I just need to chill!

That said since I’ve been here I’ve been writing every day (but not posted) - so our trip - so far - will be easy to post (as I’ll just copy and paste) and add photos of course!

After that though who knows as we’ll be into the Disney park part of our holiday (more about that shortly)

We’ll just see what happens and and I’ll update when I can for those of you who want to read it!

All aboard!

While we were strolling we tried to locate any of the Remy’s hidden
We found quite a few - here is the UK one - I’m not sure how many there are as we didn’t check the maps you can buy.

We headed to the pastry shop in Italy - so many to choose from!
But we had snacks to use - we settled on a citrus (something). It was really nice so next time we’re in Epcot we will be trying a few more.

When in Morocco it started to rain! We were eating under cover so we watched everyone diving about for cover from the comfort of our table

We headed to America and spotted another Remy.

C0173127-B7ED-428A-9B6D-F2BDB26317D8.jpeg

This drew our attention to the snack menu - American dream - I can’t remeber what’s in this - think it was blueberry slush, red slush and definitely ice cream - how had I manage to miss this over the years of coming here?

Yummy

Then to China

Saw these Rubic cubes - 3 all joined together. I’ve never managed to do one of these but Chris can do 1 pretty fast but he didn’t fancy this challenge.

And then it started raining again!

Thankfully it didn’t last long and it was warm out anyway

It did start again shortly after this but again didn’t last long and it quickly dried up

We popped into Mexico to avoid one of the rain showers - I’m guessing this is to support the new Disney film Coco

Mexican Donald was inside doing a meet and greet - see that line at the back - that wasn’t for Donald but for the Tequilla bar! The queue stretched all the way to the entrance of Mexico - there were a lot of people trying to get in there - and there was even tape on the ground to keep everything civil.

Saw these and thought they are a great idea for Halloween but I think they were something like $40 dollars - I might try to make some from paper mache next year!

As we left Mexico I took pictures to show the crowds

Chris tried to photo bomb my picture!

As we entered - Citizens of Hollywood were out again - Chris stopped to watch again!

TOT was calling Chris - so off he went - I people watched and waited for him

Then we got a brownie sundae - no picture as you’ve already seen one of them a few days ago.

Then we went to Indiana Jones - the who,e of the first scene was cut out - I’m not sure if that’s just because they didn’t do it today but it felt like half a show - a little girl even commented as she left that she thought there would be more action and less talking!

I took some pictures as it was getting dark on our way to our TSMM fast pass

Looking at parking & crowds it was a good idea not to spend the whole day at Epcot.
Love your Olaf ears!:D and the Mister Potato head mug is a must if they still have them next year.
Hope your wish comes true - the 'world' really is like home to you isn't it ?
I think the only way you would have missed an ice ream is if it was a new one!
Still more of your TR to come and so enjoying it only issue is I have to wait until I get home from work to read the next installment tomorrow :(

The ToT projections look amazing. I like that there are some new Christmas things in HS but nothing will replace the Osbourne spectical.
Your Saturday sounds just about perfect to me, thanks again for sharing.

Sat 18th we have HS FP early morning - afternoon and evening are currently clear just seeing what we might want to do again before we leave. I am sure we can sort something, like you say even for a quick hello and photo would be great.

I will be somewhere the 18th too :joyfull: I think MK in the AM and HS in the PM

Surely we can find something that'll work for everybody's plans! :) Just keep me posted and I'll show up wherever I need to. :p

Next up Night blossom @blgauger has teased with photos and I wanted to try one - I was not disappointed by this either - it was lovely and as it’s apple, pear and passion fruit I’m claiming that as 3 of my 5 a day!

Yum! :hungry: I do love those drinks! So happy you loved it, too!

This is a pretty cool looking TOT

Another full day had ended and again over 12 hours solid had been spent making more memories together.

I am so happy right now - life doesn’t get any better.
Awesome pics of the tower show
Looking forward to seeing it in person some day

It was definitely a good move to leave Epcot it was way to9 busy for me.
And Thanks for the comment on my ears - I made them before we left - the countdown was taking so long I amused myself and made a few pairs (my beauty and the beast ones, Olaf, and today villain ones.
And yes this is home - I really do need to live here and work for Disney
I hope work wasn’t too bad and that you can enjoy a virtual trip to Disney with us :)

Enjoying your report. Looking forward to your Sunday adventures. Have a great day.

Thanks

I agree I remember the Osborne lights when you got 3 D glasses too but I guess they are trying - with all the building going on there they have to do someth8ng to pull people in I guess.
And glad you are enjoying - there are obviously more pictures than comment due to time restrictions but I figure the pictures are just as important if not more so.

I'm in hospital right now in the uk and your trip report has brought a real smile to my face. Understand completely where you're coming from recently returned from our 31st trip in 28yrs, still just as exciting as the first, can't wait to read more xx

Oh my goodness I hope it’s nothing too serious and you get out soon. And hopefully while you’re there my pictures will make you smile.
Love that you’ve been 31 times in 28 years too - someone after my own heart.
And the excitement will never go - we’ve been to Magic Kingdom today and have laughed and been excited still for rides we’ve riden many times before
I hope you get better soon

Sunday 12th November

What a fab day we’ve had today - but I didn’t doubt it for a minute.

We headed off this morning to MK - we were aiming for 9am and had forgotten that as it was a MVMCP that it opened at 8am as it now closes at 6pm for anyone not attending the party.

Too late now - we were still going

We boarded a bendy bus and were on our way - the bus was pretty much empty with loads of spare seats - I don’t know why but I thought this was rather cute (that’s if a seat can be!) one all by itself....

C0F8BE78-D54F-4C1D-B972-955C52BDE668.jpeg

We arrived around 8.50 with pretty much no plans whatsoever of what we were going to do

This sight will never get old, even with cloudy skies MK looks beautiful

A6FF5209-2448-40AA-AB67-6E8DB1D385BD.jpeg

We headed through the Castle to fantasyland

29162E9D-6389-484F-AE7D-3AED56639724.jpeg

We’ve never seen the queue of 7DMT and the wait was showing 45 mins so we hopped in the queue

F19B4038-D6B7-4C93-9ED0-F4F29715F80D.jpeg

I thought all the interactive bits was cool, and obviously tried them all out - the 2 guys behind us were laughing away at me - I was being a proper tourist

By the time we got on the ride we had waited a total of 23mins - not bad for a park that had been open over an hour already.

We then headed to HM - it was warm today but overcast and we did have showers (well more like mist which was actually very refreshing).
I thought this would be a good day to take HM pictures (with greyer skies)

We had a quick service meal and then headed to Mickeys Philharmagic to let it go down!

Myself and Chris always sit in this ride and when it gets to the Lion king piece “everybody look left, everybody look right”me and Chris both look each way as they sing it - and then we both say “not yet” at that point too - we can’t help it - I am sure others must think we are nut cases - but hey we’re in Disney to have fun - so we will.

EBE1E607-40DB-4F56-8A3A-E97803ADCB1D.jpeg

I had something on my list I wanted so we ended up here

BE7F4470-97C2-42AD-BA8F-B021E43A9D27.jpeg

Ice cream but with coke! A coke float was on the list and those snacks need using up.

Chris managed to take this extra flattering picture - Not!

After this we headed to HM - again first picture ever on this ride - and no I haven’t been using a flash as that would spoil things for others.

We had used up all our FP so we tried to see what else was available - IASW came up to use at that very minute so we took it - the queue time was 20mins but we headed straight on - and my name displayed on the signs at the end - that’s never happened before - Chris name didn’t come up but that’s because they know how important I am - at least that’s what I told him.

We’re about 6 meals behind where we should be and you can use 1 quick service meal for 3 snacks so we chose 3 snacks and took it as a meal - well who needs proper food when you can eat this lot.

We found another FP available for Dumbo so we took that one too - whilst waiting In the queue Chris decided to put my hair up for me! - now this never happens and I don’t know quite why it did - we had been messing around, laughing and joking all day and he just moved it, said it looked nice and then put a band round it - first one is him practicing - and then the final version - I’ve been chuckling to myself all afternoon about this as it’s not something that would normally happen - it’s strange what Disney does to people....

Chris thinks I look younger - so guess how I am having my hair tomorrow!

I love this - taken just after the parade on a special mode on the camera.

We headed back to ride TTA and whilst waiting ate some of the cotton candy - sorry @Tuvalu

Chris had managed to get us a Under the sea fast pass so we were off there next

C955E143-4F4E-4C35-BF05-4E261EE3C82D.jpeg

A quick ride on the tea cups followed

D183CA59-6479-4C01-8434-015AAF772325.jpeg

And then it was nearly approaching 6 and we needed to leave as we weren’t attending the Christmas party - we made our way out

506D8E72-27DC-431C-A31E-E3A6C348EE16.jpeg

We had enjoyed a day at the most magical place on earth and loved every minute.

We decided to take a little trip to the contemporary to check out their shop and also to take a ride on the monorail

142F30BF-41B6-404F-AB9E-38E70117F137.jpeg

We then walked from the contemporary back to the MK to get the bus back to Riverside - the driver was super speedy and we were back home in record quick time.

Rather than finish the night we headed to the Orlando Premium outlets for a quick look around - we purchased a couple of bits and are safely back in our room planning our day tomorrow.

** side note as I forgot to add - when on the HM we noticed in front of one of the doom buggies was a type of stool on the track with maybe a key on top - in all the years of coming we’ve never seen that - has anyone else seen it or know what it’s for - I think they leave the boom buggie after it empty as someone tried to sit there and they were moved!

Also do any of my American friends know where I can get some of these jegging type pants with Mickey on - all over the parks I’m seeing loads of people wearing them but I haven’t seen them in any shops?

Thanks for sticking with me - If anyone is still there :)
