I miss pasta and good bread. They are really the only foods I miss having since going gf:cry::cry::cry::cry: I don't miss meat or dairy but pasta:cry::cry::cry::cry: I we've found a quinoa brown rice brand that we'll eat but it's not the same not to mention the limited amount of shapes.

I know what you mean being a diabetic and a carb lover is a very difficult thing. @Tony the Tigger what does Brian do for pasta? Is there a brand or type he eats that is better for him or does he just eat regular pasta but a small portion?

Have you looked into shirataki noodles some have no carbs or are very low carb. If you do try them they must be rinsed a couple of times. A few low carb pastas I found on Amazon 1626181880772.png 1626181915079.png 1626181938612.png(we like this one) 1626182026878.png@and this one) That being said I spiralize zucchini and bake spaghetti squash to sub for pasta all the time

He mostly avoids it, but will have a little here and there. (Then he'll go and eat pizza or a whole bag of chips, so...)

I like some of those low carb ones. I also get the frozen birds eye ones that are made from zucchini & lentils. Very easy, often BOGO at Publix, super cheap. I'll doctor them up a bit or throw some veggie ground in them. Or cauliflower. But of course, they're mostly...freaking ROTINI (aaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!)

I've tried a few, the Banza are pretty good. Might look into some of the others.

My aunt is visiting and her granddaughters are staying with her. I woke up this morning to find a missed call from her that came in at 1 am with a voicemail of her...snoring.

Gee, wonder how that could have happened?
It reminds me of a decade or so ago..

My dad never knew that he used to call me randomly when he was with his friends in a restaurant.
He kept his new android phone on his buttpocket. And everytime he had a good joke. his phone somehow unlocked (with his butt?) and called me. I only could hear their laughing and raunchy old male dudes jokes with tons of political stuff. XD

Of course after a good screams about his phone being active.. he locked the phone again.. Repeat a few hours later XD

And thats how he ran out of credit so easily (and his phone of battery). XD

Whooooa - and you thought political arguments were bad. (😉)

Fusili is one of the perfect pastas - it’s basically a thicker, curly spaghetti. It holds sauces (Grandma’s gravy) exceptionally well. It’s my favorite by far (although shells can have a similar effect.)

Here is Ronzoni fusili:

Then you have blasphemous companies who try to pass this “chubby rotini” off as fusili:

What?! What the heck is that?! In fact, I’ve never liked rotini except maybe in soup. It’s completely different. But if you ever see fusili on a restaurant menu, you’re more likely to get this.

Stunads!

Thank God for Ronzoni.
I don't think I've ever seen fusilli. Maybe they sell it in specialty food shops? Next time I'm in the supermarket, I'll look up and down the pasta aisle to see if they carry it at all. I'll let you know by the weekend, when I do grocery shopping.

It's right in the pasta isle of any supermarket I've ever been in. Whole Foods in Orlando had it the last time we were there. As for Publix I can't say as I've never actively looked for pasta in except in WF

They have chickpea pasta...which I love but you get less than regular pasta and triple the price. But pasta is a lot of my diet (I make a lot of pasta with veggies).
