The new gym youngest goes to posted that they will be open from 9-3 for gym time where they can practice skills. Only for 8 and up. $5 an hour, or $20 for the day. I was considering setting up playdates with kids my kids know that go to public school. For my kids of course, they are always home so no change for them really.

Gosh, you’re lucky that a few places are remaining level headed around there!!!

I can’t even scroll thru my FB newsfeed any more today, I’m so sick of reading all of the judgmental memes or posts about “don’t go anywhere. just spend time with your family at home”.
There’s a stark contrast between those posts, and then other parent-friends who are saying they’ll take kids to a trampoline park, host street hockey games, and a backyard whiffle ball tourney. 🤣

I’m hoping the latter really does happen, or at least some kind of play date.. kids need to socialize!!!!

The weather is supposed to be nasty for a little bit, Really hoping that it changes soon.

Not the best weather week. Low 50’s and damp, but it is supposed to get up to 74 here on Friday! Perfect virus killing weather. 😉

I gave in and extended again.. this is how T ended the day.. most of the time spent playing on a “team” with his friend while they talked on the phone.

I can not let this happen again. It makes me sick looking at it. This is more than he plays in an entire week!!!!!

Yeah, I don't understand the water thing. It comes out of the tap just fine!

I don’t get the water or the TP thing either...hand sanitizer I get, to a point.
We have yet to make any extra bulk run anywhere, but, many store shelves are empty here, waiting to be restocked, according to what I’ve heard.
It’s not a waterborne virus, and our tap water is great. And, we always buy plenty of bottled water/green tea and TP anyway, so we’d be fine for a while.

I have to agree that I see no logic in some of that stuff. If it were an ice storm, hurricane or tornado then the possibilities of downed power lines is real. Unless someone sneezes really hard I doubt any trees will be toppling over from the force of virus air. As for the TP all I can say is.

Yep, last time I checked, the squirts wasn’t even remotely close to a symptom...unless all these same people also hoarded a bunch of spicy food...?! :cyclops:

I admit it, it's all my fault. I have 2 cases of both toilet paper and paper towels. It's easier to order them that way. I also haven't bothered counting how many cases of tomato products I have all purchased during the can can sale. I stock up but only when things are on sale, I live in the woods and can get snowed in for over a week at any time between November and late March, between March and November thunderstorms can knock out our power. So yup it's all my fault:angelic:

I’m totally shocked...!!!!!!! :eek::oops:o_O:oops:
Say it isn’t so...you mean to tell me you don’t make your own paper towels and TP...?!?!?! :cyclops: ;)

Yes, it was an old treadle style just like that -- again, the thing weighed a ton, with the vintage sewing machine. Also, if I'm not mistaken, I "think" the table, itself, was made of mahogany!! (Not that I was around when that thing was made, but man, I miss quality ... )

Yep, heavy and quality indeed...!!! :)
I, honestly, don’t know whatever happened to those 2 sewing machines, but, the old phonograph from pops side, and the armoire from moms side survived the fire being in places in the more front part of their home.
Those 2 items are mine, when the time comes, and, of course, our kiddos after that.
But, I honestly don’t want “when the time comes” to happen anytime soon...sometimes I wish my folks would outlive me, ‘cause I don’t know how I’d deal with the loss, but, they also, of course, feel the same way about losing any of us while they’re still alive...!!!!! :hilarious:

Wow!!! It is simply gorgeous in that part of Texas.

Thank you...!!!!! :)
Yes, our central Texas Hill Country here is very beautiful, but, so are hundreds of miles of Texas coast, as well as the piney woods of East Texas, the mountains of West Texas, etc.
Hundreds of thousands of square miles, with sooo much to see and do, and now that the secret is out, folks are flocking here in droves...!!!!! :hilarious:
