@Rista1313 should definitely take a bow. She asked a SMART question. You can see her question just above. As some of you may recall, I responded that I was not qualified to answer. Later in the thread I pointed out that I knew how to turn the gas off for the entire house(implied was that I did not how to turn the gas off for just the laundry room.)
Sure enough, yesterday's installers turned off the gas....hooked up the new dryer...made it run....fooled me into thinking all was well.....but yesterday's knuckleheads never turned the gas back to the on position.
So now the dryer works fine.
I have been taught how to do the laundry room gas on / off myself if it is ever needed. Not hard!
I can return the 5 foot gas line kit back to Home Depot for a refund.
What an unnecessary waste of time the last 24 hours have been! :(

Well, Thanks... I'm sorta glad I was right? At least it wasn't a faulty dryer and they didn't have to replace it. I definitely would be talking to the Lowe's supervisor though, these installers sound like they are too much in a hurry and not making sure their job is complete before they leave.

Well, kiddo won this round last night.

El Clásico is always a big event in our house, aka Mom v Son.

He was literally jumping (and hollering) for joy.lol

I wanted to share these photos I took of the tv... I thought the announcers would say it was a joke, but it wasn’t. This suit would not happen in the USA. 😂

What is El Clasico and what happened? I have no idea what I should be seeing in the photos.

A La Liga match between my favorite team- FC Barcelona, and T’s favorite team- Real Madrid.

The games were even more exciting when both of our favorite players were in the game, Ronaldo and Messi, respectively. Now T also loves Juventus (Serie A) as they have Ronaldo... Real Madrid and La Liga are still his go to team and league though. We, mostly because of me, just don’t have the same passion for Italian soccer.

The photo was just because I thought the suit and shoes were hilarious.

What the heck, why? you might as well use them for mini frisbees.
Those disks have my old accounting school work from my college days on them. I considered getting a rid of them a few years ago and I was told to save them by younger brother.

As far as using for mini frisbees, I don't think they as good for that as the old 5 and 1/4 sized floppy discs.

They are not as bad for keeping as some other stuff I heard of family members have kept.

Okay, more on this...

I found my AP test scores, my PSAT test scores, and my SAT test scores.

I texted my dad's sister and said, "I've inherited the pack rat gene. Send help."

She texted back, "I can't help you. I'm cleaning out my office and found World Book Encyclopedia 1998 on CD-ROM." She's moved three times since 1998. 😂😂😂

yeah, but unless you somehow have a reader or an super old computer than can read them, they are useless.

Ok... I'll rephrase, have you used this info in 7 years? in 10 years? if not... time to pitch.

Real Madrid...Klaas Jan Huntelaar used to play for them, right? I don't think he does anymore...but I remember reading it because when A was in 5th grade, one of his teachers was Klaas Jan's brother.

So I went to choir tonight and man is it an off time. We still don't have a director, so we've been trying to fill in rehearsals with workshops and activities. But one of our members had a baby girl yesterday...I feel bad for her because 37 weeks is considered full term and you can have a home birth if you want to, which she did....but she was 36 weeks and 6 days. ONE day short. Then one gal was coughing up a storm. But the worst one...one of the guys came hobbling in on crutches. He went skiing for the spring break vacation, fell and shattered his knee. They had to make a new knee out of part of his hip, which I didn't even know they could do. He said he had the surgery on Tuesday...HOW in the world was he already home and up and around?? Maybe it's good that we don't have a director right now.

Question: why on Earth would you want to have a home birth in a country where you can be in a nice hospital, surrounded by doctors, nurses, and medications to reduce pain, where it costs nothing to be there? I mean, maybe because I've never given birth (and hopefully not ever) but good grief I'd want to be in a hospital. Is there some benefit over there to giving birth at home verses a hospital?

Nice hospital? No such thing, germ heaven:hungover: I'm still mad about not being able to deliver at a birthing center because I had to have Pitocin:( Why would you assume you'd need pain meds? Long before my mandatory 24 hours was up I couldn't wait to get home and make myself some decent food. Hope that helped answer your question
