Says someone that hasn't endured months of snow and cold weather. Perhaps a location swap could be set up with a person that has spent years battling the elements can go to live in your place and you get to come and spend a winter in, let's say, Wisconsin. Snow is quite the novelty when you aren't driving in it, shoveling it or paying for heating utilities for the winter.

Don't be fooled by the exuberance of @MinnieM123. She has, obvious to everyone except her, serious mental illness problems or perhaps is a reincarnated Iditarod Sled Dog. Either way cold and snow excitement wears thin fairly quickly.

Well, since it is turning into the Alaskan tundra here tomorrow, why not have disney plus to watch?! :joyfull: I went ahead and signed up. The bundle was not with hulu live. A lot of our sports we watch live so didn't want to mess that up. So, we have a 7 day free trial then charged for it -just the $6.99 month. We are very excited to see a lot of the shows they are having.

Welcome to the Disney plus club! I'm excited to watch it tomorrow after work (or maybe during my lunch break tomorrow).

That is awesome!! I was actually in Lynchburf about 7 years ago. It is a really pretty area. My dd has a welcome to admitted students day in a couple of weeks to the college of her choice. It is only a full day of activities and not a weekend, but I am hoping she enjoys it. Being homeschooled, she hasn’t been in a large school environment in a while. She is looking forward to it, so that is a good sign.
I actually read Lynchburf as lunchbarf. It was a double take moment!

Awww.... well I have good news... a co-worker over heard me and we were having no luck with anyone calling back. Her next door neighbor is a guy who just left his corporate electrician job to start up his own company. We called him and he was over in an hour... and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in an hour.. and it wasn't the doomsday worse case scenario that my mind automatically went to.... the fix cost $60

... but I bet if it was the corporate company he was with, he would have been selling me a whole new rewiring job!

Oh! Fantastic that it was only $60! :)

@Tony the Tigger I found this at Best Buy. I think it is the one you mentioned, plus I found a model by Jensen.

No Jensen. No Jensen. No Jensen.

Yes, that is the AT 60!

If you can pick one up locally, there you go. Amazon is also shipping it for free at that price if you are a Prime member (in case your local Best Buy doesn't have it or can't get it in time.)

And should you go the Bluetooth route, my offer stands, I can get you the Bluetooth version for what you are paying for the standard model (plus shipping.) I make no money on that, happy to do it.

Got it. No Jensen. :hilarious: Thank you for the offer. I will get back to you once we figure out exactly what we will need. My stepdad says he still has all our records. Sadly he threw out the old Sony since it was broken.

When your daughter has experienced Welcome to Admitted Students Day please be sure to give me a report. Even if I forget to ask...I definitely want to hear how she liked it...what she felt, etc. ☺

It was wonderful. For 3 and a half days she was a college student. She attended 5 classes....ate in the school cafe...slept in the dorm....went to a college basketball game....went to a concert. She even went zip lining on Liberty Mountain. Wow! She slept for most of the ride back home from Virginia to NJ.😉
One thing...do teach her how to pump gas. Especially if she's bringing her own car. It was amazing the number of confused NJ students we had...I make fun of NJ, but this one's serious. I had a very nervous freshman in chorus tell me her car was low on gas and she had no idea what to do...and that was my senior year after hearing the same story over and over again...
